B&Q Cheap Kitchen Doors and Drawers from £1 each!

I'm so disappointed.

My order arrived a day late and 5 doors short - which I discovered whist opening the boxes - nothing to say the order was incomplete. B&Q phoned tonight to tell me they're discontinued and I can cancel and get my money back??!! I ordered these the first week in March. I expected a better service from B&Q.

Really sorry to hear about your problems with the order.

I have been let down today too - the other day on the phone they promised me that they would be despatching the missing doors for my order and today about 2 hours after the fitter started to fit the correct doors that had been delivered. b &q phoned and said that they couldnt fullfill the order.

If you are going to get your money back on your order perhaps I could ask what items you have got and maybe purchase them from you

We had our doors delivered 19/04, all present and correct except for 2 pack S (the 600mm wide drawerline door and drawer front) Spoke to B&Q aftersales and they said they would be delivered 17th May!! Think it might be wise not to hold my breath tho..........

Hi Vicky, I'm in Lancashire too!!! I'd gladly help BUT I'm going on holiday tomorrow hence the frantic calls between me and B&Q. They are phoning me today (not holding my breath) so I SHOULD know more later. I think I only have one door that might help you - that's a 500 wide door pack B code 3039076 but as the delivery came in 4 packs - not itemised - it would mean me splitting a pack I'm not sure about that. Strangely I didn't receive ANY of my door and drawyer front packs, I'm 3 of the 600 ones short. I've got corner posts (wall and base) 2 cornices, 3 x 600 doors 4 x 400 doors all pine, but as I said I'm off on hol tomorrow. Sorry, I am trying to be helpful.

Hi JJ7 Hope you have a great holiday after dealing with B&Q myself I think you will have earned a nice holiday after all the aggro that you have endured over the past couple of days

Could I ask how much did you pay for all your items - its just that my father is coming down today to have a look at the kitchen and try and work it to see if he can swap and change things around for me so that other sized doors could be used (dad's are good at things like that - well mine is)

Its just that if you are going to return them and even if just one item could be of use to me and if B&Q wont let you return just part of the order then it may be worth me hanging on and purchasing your little lot from you

Hiya folks,

On offer today (baring in mind the reduced doors were either pine or cherry and I ordred pine):-

2 sage green glass fronted doors.
1 sage green plain full length door.
1 cherry end panel (I never ordered any end panels, but would quite like a pine one well two actually for base units and same for wall if anyone has any spare).
1 1000mm base unit - damaged (never ordered any base units).

Missing - 4 x 500mm pine glass door fronts, apparently they are on their way and I've to allow 3 days for delivery.

Thankfully I ordered extra plain doors just in case, there was a problem with the glass ones and as such if the glass ones do arrive, I'll have the 500mm plain doors for anyone who needs them.

Might also have some of the corner posts too, as I ordered and received 3 but only actually need 2 - no idea what I was thinking of there. That's a lie, it was the extra one just in case I make a botch up extra.

Now I am going to need base units and I'm tempted if the pretty sage green doors they have kindly given me are current stock, taking them back and exchanging them for base units. Would this be so wrong considering their botch ups? There are times in my life where I just hate having morals and this is one of them!

Oh did phone call centre 0800 389 5516 (based in Belfast) and they, afer speaking to supervisor said they are unlikely to be getting any more stock as they could not book delivery dates.

If any of the above is any use to you please either post in here or PM me and we can arrange something to get the stuff to you. (note technical term!).

I seem to be luckier than some of you, but good luck to those of you who are still waiting on deliveries.

First off I want to say a big thankyou to the OP as ive saved a bundle so many thanks for this heads up.

Ok here goes, I ordered all my pine doors / drawers and received everything I asked for. I even ordered extra bits as were still moving stuff around so may need a few extra cupboard doors. When the kit came I was missing the cornice so was abit miffed as that stuffs expensive but the following day the 2 packs of cornice arrived so we have 1 complete order and im in the process of fitting it all now and the good thing is the hinges all match up with my existing ones so just a straight swap which makes things simpler.

Anyway I should have a few things left over and will put a message on later to say exactly what incase anyone needs the spare bits I have.

Just a quick update, got in yesterday from being out all morning to find that my neighbour had kindly taken a delivery in for me and lo and behold my 2 missing packs!!:j We will have a complete kitchen after all!:D

Does anyone have a spare 600mm full height wall unit door in Sage Green or a 600mm drawerline door and drawer front as unfortunately I am 1 of these short and B&Q will not help me - just say they can't get anymore. Yours hopefully!! xx
