I went to B&Q in Cricklewood. They didn't have any sales in store but I did see the cherry & the pine effect in different colours. The cherry one looked really cheap & nasty, especially the glass doors! The pine effect one is very nice & looks much better quality. The glass doors have a beautiful pattern on them.

The pine effect in different colours?????

I have asked before along with the original poster back in Feb about the different shades shown on the website.

Have we all ordered different shades of the same style and therefore will end up with a very odd looking kitchen????

Sorry I should ave made myself clear!

I went to B&Q in Cricklewood. They had the same style of doors with the same pattern but in different colours. The one we saw on the website is pine effect. In store I saw it in white

I also saw the cherry effect in black & some other colours.

Of all the styles I saw, the one which looks like the pine effect (with the patterned glass & lines on the plain doors) seemed the best quality.

There are NOT several different shades of pine effect!

Does anyone know where you can buy some cheap units to go with these doors.
Do you think there might be any change that B&Q might reduce some units next.

I orginally answered someone who was after unit doors and had found these myself before everyone else did, therefore would have expected to get my full order fufilled (i placed my order 8th February). Thats not the case and by the sounds of it i will not be getting the remainder either.

I was hoping to come on here after my delivery this morning and tell eveyone what great quality and finish the doors were (they are really nice). I had 4 boxes missing so phoned up and was told they would be getting delivered on the 15th April. So i asked would that definately be the case as i wouldnt want to put these up and be waiting for the others then be told they couldnt get them. She said they would defiantely be coming but in the event of not then they would provide alternatives ( didnt bother to ask would they make sure they matched etc as assumed she knew they would come).

Anyway, now ive had time, i have taken each door out and checked and i have one 400mm door sort of dented (hardly noticable but would be annoying as you know its there) and the 2 bridging unit doors are badly bubbled all over. Not sure what would have caused that. So i phoned up and explained and they said they would put me through to after sales to get them collected and replaced. This person checked the items and told me they havent got that item anymore so i wouldnt be able to have a replacement, only a refund. So i decided to ask him if he could check my items that i am waiting for to come in April (2x 500mm drawer and door front and also 2x 600mm door front), he told me they do not have any of those either. I asked how come i was told earlier in the day that i would be getting them and was it possible that my order had been allocated somewhere and i would still be getting them even though his stock showed as being all finished. He said that wouldnt be the case as stock is only allocated about 5 days before the order is due to go out and the lady wouldnt have checked on the same system as him and his was more up to date and accurate.

Im really annoyed now to be honest. Who do i believe? I want to believe i will still be getting the doors in April but i dont know. He said he would leave it to me to ring back and decide what i wanted to do. Im getting told different things from different people. Im gutted to be honest because i was so looking forward to having such a great kitchen with the satisfaction of having spent little money.

Btw, the kitchen looks even better than in the pics and all doors are the same colour. I thnk they must be clearing old stock as the date stamp on some of these boxes are Jan 2001.

I just hope some people do get a full order but i dont see that happening as they have no 500mm draw/door fronts, no bridging unit doors, no 600mm doors and no 400mm doors, which some of these are quite common sizes. Good luck though, let us know how you get on.

Seeing as B&Q's kitchen unit distribution depot in Staffordshire burned down in February 2006, could this be salvaged old stock???

Heat from the fire could be the cause of bubbling....

My recently delivered Cherry kitchen all has Jan/Feb 2007 dates on the packaging.
