    Hi
I have just started fitted the parts that have arrived and found that I actually need a 600MM door or drawerline door, Didnt realise this wasnt a 500mm doh! Dont know what I will do now, my local B&Q still have a display but today they told me it's gona end up in the skip because so many people want it! Arghhh! So if you come across a 600mm door let me know and I will likewise with the Belfast door! Also the bridging cabinet door isnt as deep as my original kitchen so I am gonna have to buy a new carcass to get round that one!

    I also have a spare 600 door

  • we are now 16th october 2008 and there has been no change in the attitude of B & Q. We have paid and been waiting for our doors for 6 months to be told that they will not be arriving and that our order has been cancelled. They have run out of stock.

I m really beginning to believe that it is a ploy by b & q to get customers into their stores.

What really bugs me is that they take our money and put it into their bank account and earn interest off it, to feed the fat cat,

I have done my kitchen out in green to match the sage green doors i ordered now i have no doors and they will do nothing about it.

I am going to report them to the trading standards.icon8.gif

Not be arriving? Cancelled? Are you sure?

I just got a call myself to say that my lovely sage green doors who were supposed to arrive on 28th Oct (originally on 2nd but that was cancelled too) will now arrive on 7th Jan 2009! The lady on the phone was very apologetic, she said that the problem was with the glazed doors? I sure hope that they do arrive eventually. I am so peeved off!!
  • I work in B&Q's new call centre as a senior advisor, and do you know how sick of these doors I am?

It is not B&Q's fault that selfish customers are ordering hundreds of these doors at a time so they can sell them on eBay, last week had a customer who had ordered 800 sage green doors, multiple varieties..... Obviously that got cancelled.

The sitrep is like this just now if you have a date in Novemeber you are 75% likely to recieve them, we have limited stock because of the reason I just told you. The rest WILL be delivered in January. Now this sounds bad, but think about it, B&Q lost at least £29 per door on these things, as they are discontinuing the Sage Green range, but way to many orders were taken online due to a technical glitch.

Just sit tight with the doors, you only paid a pound each remember, and for anyone who has ripped off their old doors without the new ones coming in, dont be silly, when we confirm a delivery is coming, we can only tell you what the computers say, we are based in Glasgow, the stock comes from England, and the supplier is in China .... you do the math.

Yes, I only paid a pound per door BUT when you add the end panels and cornices it is not that cheap. Besides, I thought I'd be able to have a new kitchen by October, which I won't. You promise something and you don't deliver. That is what custmers want and you failed. I don't need to know where the doors come from and why they are delayed, it is not MY problem. The fact that I paid little for my doors doesn't mean that I am not intitled to good customer service.
Yes, there are greedy people trying to make money out of the whole thing by buying loads and selling on Ebay. It's crazy, but it is not my fault. It's YOUR fault for allowing it in the first place. I have every right to moan.

    My order was recently cancelled.
I'd only asked for 16 doors - no cornices, etc. But maybe that's why mine was one of the cancelled orders. Perhaps I should've added a couple of the dearer accessories and I may have still been in with a chance of getting the £1 doors.

I only ordered what I needed for my kitchen including quite a few extras at full price, paid £5 for delivery with one delivery date in August and one in September. The first delivery in August came two days early and so no-one was in and the delivery person left them leaning against the back door in the pouring rain. The September date came and went and B&Q kindly sent me 4 doors that I hadn't ordered (spoke to a very nice lady who said I could keep them with the complements of B&Q - the only thing is that I only have one kitchen and don't have any use at all for the 4 doors!). There were also 4 doors missing and these are allegedly coming next week.

So since the end of August in our dining room (only live in a terraced house so don't have much storage space) there is a pile of doors that have been sitting there gathering dust. This means that we can't use our dining room as there isn't room for us and the doors!

Yes I know we only paid £1 for the doors but if B&Q can't organise themselves to be able to delivery the correct order when they say they are going to they shouldn't advertise these offers. I've done loads of internet shopping and this is the worst service I have received anywhere and has put me off ordering from B&Q again.

    Rant over!!!
  • Admittedly it is a bad situation, does not take a genious to know that. But all I can say is B&Q will resolve it. January looks to be when we can sort it all out, and then the sage green range is gone forever :D

B&Q did have the stock, but what happened as I said the website, https://www.DIY.com , did not close the offer soon enough for whatever reason. And fom there the supplier said no to getting any more, but we managed to get them for our customers, but they are all having to me made for you all and then sent from China over here.

I know you guys have every right to complain, but if you sit tight you will get it eventually, but just remember this as well, MFI had a similar situation 3 years back, and rather than resolving all customers orders they just cancelled them all.

Tell you what guys, Ill send you all plain wood doors with Sage Green paint lol.

All I ask is if you do ever need to phone into the Call Centre, dont have a go at the agents, they will do for you what they can without a problem, not fair that due to the big cats fault tht they all get shouted at.

IF any of you need any info about it just ask and I will inform you what I know.
