I didn't think the tooth fairy stopped until they ran out of teeth :j
However, I agree that £10 is excessive. The most mine got was £1 apart from when my youngest had a tooth removed. I felt so guilty, I took him to a toy shop and told him he could buy anything. He selected a box of lego which was £9.99. The tooth fairy still came that night.0 -
The tooth fairy stops coming here as soon as they realise it's me.0

Tooth fairy still visits here, to my DD8, have younger sister 4 who hasn't lost any teeth yet. I'm sure my DD knows there is no tooth fairy, but we all play along, but she doesn't get more than a £1, the last tooth that she lost came out at about 6 at night I only had about 50p in change, so that was what she got, no complaints, put it in her piggy bank (with hindsight I could have raided her piggy bank for the tooth fairy money - might do that next time:eek:).0

When i used to give money for the tooth fairy to my son (a while ago now) it used to be a pound.
Got the shock of my life once tho,his tooth came out in the morning, said he was putting it under his pillow for the tooth fairy that night.I crept into his room early hours of the morning to remove the tooth and place a pound under his pillow, and underneath the pillow was his tooth and 5 white shiny stones he'd found in the garden. He explained the next day that he thought as he was getting a pound per tooth, cos the stones looked like teeth,he thought he'd get an extra fiver for them aswell!Did make me laugh tho..0 -
Stopped here at 7, but we do still have the Easter bunny and Father Christmas0

Ds's last tooth came out when he was 13. We were on the way home on the train that day and ds, whose voice had already broken, was discussing with me how much the 'tooth fairy' should give him for his last tooth. Some of the other passengers found this quite funny.0

Tooth fairy has stopped now in our house, but the last one that came out only left 50p under the pillow as the tooth fairy was finding times are hard.0

Tooth Fairy doesn't stop in my books, but there's no way thy'd get £10 for a tooth, £1 max - its the novelty rather than giving them any meaning full cash.Mortgage Jan 2011: £208,800 April 2012: £202,100
Savings for remortgage: £5,000/£10,000
Savings for mat leave: £1,542/£6,0000
