ok, i have done that and run it and its deleted all the files etc.. shall i do the microsoft thing now?

im checking for updates on microsft and it says" Checking for the latest updates for your computer..." it has a green progress bar and it its been like that far a good while now. ?

If you don't want IE7 do the custom scan on the update page - not express and unselect IE7 ...

i have downloaded another one called prisma firewall . will that be the same? or do the same job?

I don't know prisma - was it recommended on this forum ? People may not be able to help with settings if it is not used here..

I would recommend ZoneAlarm :rotfl: :rolleyes: But that is "old" .
Kerio and others are "newer" - Kerio is that link in last post BTW..
