Help Please....

Hi!
having been unemployed for some time now, Ive recently taken a job with a well known British Company.
However, Its not what I thought it would be, and after one week, Im thinking of leaving.
Does anyone know what I'd be entitled to in terms of benefits if I leave?
Im a single mother with no partner, and am deperately searching for something else.

Many thanks.
You lied to me Edward. There IS a Swansea. And other places.....

*I have done reading too*
*I have done geography as well*

You say you are a single mother, how old is your child?

If you voluntarily leave employment and then try to claim JSA you will be sanctioned for up to 26 weeks.

Did you take the work as a work trial?

Not many people do like working and we would all like a job we love but you seriously cannot expect to claim benefits just because you feel like it.

Stay in your job until you get another.

Stay where you are and look for another job.
Millions of us do jobs every day we dont like, but needs must, you are capable of working to support yourself and your child

You can be sanctioned up to 26 weeks and rightly so.

How many hours a week do you work? How long is 'some time now'?

What an example to set to your 12 year old. Been there five minutes, can't hack it, oh I'll just leave and scrounge off the state. Yeah, why not just stay home and watch Jeremy Kyle instead eh? !!!!!!.

And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end

I asked about the age of your child to see if you are eligible for income support, but your child is too old.

As someone above asked was it a work trial? How long have you worked there?
