My daughter put on her wish list for Christmas a pair of iPhone gloves, winter gloves with a special material on the finger so you can still use your iPhone without having to take them off. In Sainsburys last night I found a pair :j £6.50. After checking my receipt I got them for £2.50 BARGAIN :T:T:T (£6.50-special offer £2.01-save 25% £1.50=£2.50)
  • Gloves suitable for touch screen gloves have been around for a few years now. They're are loads on ebay.

I got The Dandy Annual for only £1 in store tonight - there were quite a few Annuals for £1, £2 & £3 - I'm afraid I cannot remember the titles. HTH someone.
  • I got myself a black anorak/parka yesterday. Reduced by half from £45, then another 25% off. So a coat for £16.87. Well pleased!

Big bargains to be had instore on Christmas stuff - decorations, LED lights, wrapping paper, bags, shiny ribbons, rosettes etc. Also lots of kids toys. I bought some sturdy drinks bags for just 30p each, which are much better quality and tastefully decorated than the ones Poundland sell so on balance a better price.

The gift boxes of toiletries / alcohol gifts were only down by 1/3 though. Not that I needed them.

A sad way to spend the Christmas holiday, I know....!

This morning I spotted Knorr lamb and fish stock cubes down to 38p per pack. There are 8 cubes in each pack. BBE April 2016. I think they were originally £1.50 each.
  • Not sure if its national but in Sainsburys Thurrock store, they had Morphy Richards breadmaker from £89.99 to £29.99.
