    Seventh Anniversary Combo Breaker
In Keighley yesterday there were lots of the small jars at 5p and some larger jars 10p. BBE Nov 2015 so stocked up for my pie bake next December. There were also jars of Robertson's mincemeat with no price on at all. Maybe they were giving them away lol!

Sainsbobs nearest me had Robertson's mincemeat for 10p a jar as well as own brand for 5p. Date on the Robertson's was Nov 2017(!) so I stocked up!

Hardly any gifts left sadly, just a few tiny things over 70% off so worth it for stocking fillers for next year. The calendar I picked up was 90% off, so only 30p

Thanks for all the mincemeat posts. I have 12 jars of robertsons now for 10p a jar. I make mincemeat biscuits with mine. Sainsburys mincemeat 5p and TTD mincemeat 10p (this one has alcohol in it). Fig chutney now down to 20p.
Still virtually alcohol free since 4/1/15. (10 Xmas/ New Year/Birthday drinks)

I managed to find a jar of mincemeat dated December 2015 for 5p. I have one I bought last year still to use! I am planning on using it to make apple and mincemeat crumble (Delia's recipe) :j no figgy chutney left in my store today nor mini luxury crackers but still lots of the bigger ones for 70p!

OK - Google 'mincemeat biscuits aldi'. The first result is the recipe, there's a stack of them in a ribbon. Of course you do not have to use aldi ingredients. I have made these several times using mixed nuts crushed slightly and redskin peanuts instead of walnuts. They cook very fast and I have been experimenting with reducing the sugar too as mincemeat is very sweet. They will spread and then harden, so they are more like a cookie than a biscuit.

Pasted from the RTC thread in Food Shopping & Groceries:

Ditto me - bought a load of Xmas chutney and cranberry and port sauce for hampers next year at the princely sum of 20p each. Have no idea where I am going to store them for the next 11 months though....:o. Luckily they are only small jars, definitely not worth £1.80 each.

Got the mincemeat too, no small jars left but plenty of big (800g+) one for 10p. They make the most brilliant moist fruit cake.

I tried the Aldi mincemeat cookie recipe and they were just ok. The cake was miles better.
