  • Popped into the little Sainsburys local on my way to work and got Sainsbury's Shortcut Pastry Mix for 10p (perfect to go with the 4p jars of Mincemeat I got last week), and Heinz Taste of Home Indulgent Chocolate Pudding (the one in a tin you used to have to steam) for 37p. :j
Hoping to get to the bigger Sainsbury's soon to see if they have any of the bargains left already mentioned by others on the forum.

What I found in the Sainsbury's in Clapham Common was pancake mix reduced from I think £1.20 down to £0.32. I also got Loreal sublime mousse hair dye reduced from £7 down to £1.75 the colour is iced chocolate, I saw other colours reduced too but down to £3.50.

In Wandsworth Sainsburys I found dried kiwi fruits down from 45p to 10p, sharwoods jalfrezi kit (contains 8 chapati wraps, Indian salsa and spice mix) for 82p (original price was something around £2.80 or so, not sure).
And I saw cake decorations for Xmas with Santa and Rudolph, 12 small decorations reduced down to £0.05.

The only thing I saw that was reduced 90% was a hanging sign saying "Easter Egg hunt this way" down from £4.00 to £0.40. I've got a pic of it but not sure how to upload it from my phone.

East Kilbride (Kingsgate branch at the retail park not the shopping centre one) - short dated coffee was 5 quid odd now 1.42 for a 452g bag of Sainsburys premium grade fair trade ground coffee for filters. Probably only store specific due to the short date on them. You can freeze the coffee til you need it. Not tried it before but for that price I bought three and hoping it will be nice!

I got exactly the same deal at the Irvine store, not exactly short dated, end August 2013. Ironically, the smaller pack was also reduced, but only to £1.51!
Also picked up 2 more jars of Sainsbury's Mincemeat, now down to 3p. Also Apricot Cake Glaze, down to 25p, perfect for the Xmas Cakes, dated 03/2015.

Good to know, I may well go back and check to see if more of that coffee appears. My coffee was best before April 2013, so I just presumed it was reduced cos they going out of date...so maybe it's being discontinued?

Probably just changing the packaging. I managed to stock up on the Coffee Bags at 54p a box a few weeks ago, normally £2.19. Last week they were back in at £2.19p but in new packaging.
Same thing with the kids Polo Shirts, picked up some for my GK's, £4.00 a pack to 1/2 price then 25% off on TU offer. Sitting on the same display, in different packaging the exact t-shirts for £4.00 a pack.
