yep - i tried every haven site in the north west, north east, yorkshire, norfork and north wales for august dates and the only date that came up was 31st Aug...

but they always says "not all parks available for all dates"..

i did think it unusual that Haven were putting the last 2 weeks of august (ie peak weeks) into the sun offer...

it seems that it is only the smaller companies who have sites available for 20th 24th, 27th....

i had hoped to book mon - fri 20th or 27th at a Haven not too far away but it was too good an offer to be true

so i have settled for 31st fri-mon at Thorpe Park

which is better than sitting at home that weekend...:T

i am hoping for an inidan summer - we went to Haven Presthaven sands the same weekends last year and it was HOT :j

Same here, couldn't get any 4 day breaks at havens in England or Wales (we already have Scotland booked for June kids break). Ended up booking 31st August in Greenacres.

If you contact them I believe they'll tell it you again - not sure what the phone number is, have a quick look on the Contact Us bit on the website though, should be on there? But I'm sure from other times these have been on, people have lost them and rung up and had the number given back to them :)

its funny how all regionalized / region institutionalized these conversations are making me feel....all the SW places eg Trelegue and Hendra etc... they are completely unknown names to me - even though i am an older person who only ever holidays in the uk....and even if i do 4 or 5 newpaper deals / plus weekends in a tent throughout the summer i do tend to stay in my comfort zone and do not stray more than 4 hours from home...

i feel i know the name, location and tide times for every resort in the North West, North Wales, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire....and can probably tell you the name of the funstars at the sites for the past 5 years... DH says i could do mastermind on the history of uk holiday resorts in the north of england!

BUT - when the kids get a bit older i am determined to explore the SW a bit more i have family in devon and cornwall but the journey with 2 kids and a dog i so long.....i have only been a handful of times and then usually just stay with family - although i have been to Haven Perran sands..

i wish i was brave enough to just put the dates in and accept anything that came up - is that brave or stupid;)

It's adventurous! do it, i dare ya. I have in the past and had great times
