its funny how all regionalized / region institutionalized these conversations are making me feel....all the SW places eg Trelegue and Hendra etc... they are completely unknown names to me - even though i am an older person who only ever holidays in the uk....and even if i do 4 or 5 newpaper deals / plus weekends in a tent throughout the summer i do tend to stay in my comfort zone and do not stray more than 4 hours from home...

i feel i know the name, location and tide times for every resort in the North West, North Wales, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire....and can probably tell you the name of the funstars at the sites for the past 5 years... DH says i could do mastermind on the history of uk holiday resorts in the north of england!



BUT - when the kids get a bit older i am determined to explore the SW a bit more i have family in devon and cornwall but the journey with 2 kids and a dog i so long.....i have only been a handful of times and then usually just stay with family - although i have been to Haven Perran sands..

i wish i was brave enough to just put the dates in and accept anything that came up - is that brave or stupid;)

U sure were on about same site??? Never heard 1 aeroplane, we don't do pointin butlins my kids rather go rock pooling, it's right on porth beach which is next cove up from Newquay, and the best rock pooling beach I've Eva been to. I hope we get it next year x
