happy birthday lame wolf :j
sistercas that picture is brilliant :rotfl:
hope all the poorly people and animals are on the mend.
My sister called me yesterday raging about my uncle again. He'd called my Mum saying "something's wrong with her[mum/nan] heart get to the hospital now!". So my Mum left work in tears driving like a mad woman hurling abuse at God only to get to the hospital to find my Nan sitting in a chair having a cup of tea! Heart attack? No, her heart rate is a bit high as she is exhausted as she struggled to sleep with the drips in so she's having some medicine to lower it. The hospital have been told NEVER to call him first again, always my Mum or my sister as they're the only ones with their heads screwed on right now!
I really could kill him, he is stressing everyone out by being so over the top. He posts really dramatic, ambiguous things on facebook so even people who don't know the family are poking their noses in and thinking she's on her last legs and worries those of us who can't visit her. Grrrrr, family, what can you do?!!
I can't wait til my dissertation is over and I can visit.
Me and OH are viewing two houses tonight and five houses/flats tomorrow, they're close to his so I'm spending the weekend there(with lots of uni work). We're in quite a good position for renting as we are very flexible and have no pets/kids(can't believe how many places specify no kids!) but I actually really want a small dog. Hello everybody - hugs to all and Happy Birthday Lame Wolf!
Honestly I go MIA for a couple of days and I miss everything! Since I last posted Ihave been mostly in bed..... unfortunately I appear to have got a much worse dose of OH's cold than he had and although it's now moved on from aching to spaced out head feeling my throat is as raw as anything and even a drink feel like a brillo pad...... I hope I'm better for the gynae op on Tuesday...:( I've been getting up, doing what work is in my in tray and then going back to bed - I'm only up and dressed today as we're having a water meter fitted :j and obviously somebody has to let the bloke in to the garage (unless he can ooze under the door).... So I have just done a cursery bit of housework as although I've been getting up to do the washing up (otherwise it will just mount up) the bins needed doing, dusting and cleaning the cooker . I've drawn the line at vac'ing though.... a Ewbank through the hall should be good enough and maybe not even that as I doubt Mr United Utilities will be wiping his feet :rotfl: So all my meal planner for this week has gone out of the window so I need to see what's still useable.... On a good note I've managed to sell something on ebay though :j Have a nice day everyone and hopefully some of you are not getting the thunder, lightning and massive hail that I am..... actually I quite like itBut I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -

Happy Birthday Lamewolf.Hope you have a fab day. Thank you for yesterday.
Woofer is home:j:j. We collected him just after 1 , he tried getting up to bound over to me :eek:. He did really well last night , so did I , I managed to phone once at about 9.30pm and again at 8 this morning.
Have put Betsys cage up for him but there was no way he was going in there so bought an old kingsize duvet down and folded it up for him to lie on and there he has staid. Ds3 has said he will sleep downstairs with him tonight so he isn't on his own and we will then take it from there. He has a 5 day course of tramadol pain relief and then Metacam to start taking on day 5 as well. He doesnt like the cone on his head but needs must . So as have been out the house for most of the day have done nothing :o:eek:.Dinner will be a sneaky takeaway .
Hope everyone is wellPaul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -
Afternoon All
Well done to Moorhen's DD.
JackieO - hope that arm gets better soon.
Uolypool - Sounds like you have your work cut out, hope woofer is better soon.
Lamewolf - Happy Birthday to you.
Heard today that I haven't been successful for 2 of the jobs I applied for, oh well, I will keep trying. Start work at my 2nd job tomorrow, it's going to be a long slog but needs must!
Not sure what's for tea yet, either baked pot or sausages. Washing drying on racks.
Went to try the shaker machine after work, it's weird but will probably go again as I could feel so many bits wobble!!
Hugs to all that need one, take care. XX0 -

What a week!
Happy birthday LW. Hope it is lovely for you, you deserve the best. I thought of you yesterday when I doggy-sat for a little lady outside the chemist. I came across them when her Mum was trying to get into the shop with a prescription and the little dog was clinging on to her ankles and crying. Her Mum was nearly crying as well t the thought of leaving her tied up outside, so I offered to keep her company till the prescription was delivered. It was brilliant. We started off with a chat about the weather which obviously went down well and she progressed to leaning against my leg while I scratched behind her ears. We discovered that we shared a sense of humour and exchanged a few jokes while various passersby admired her and I swelled with pride, the way a good foster Mum should. I was quite sorry when the real Mum came out with mission accomplished and we had to part company.
DS2 and DiL2B are in the new house and unpacking like mad. DS said that he was up at 7.30 this morning and walking the dog on the beach. He couldn't believe that every one he met greeted him and some stopped for a chat - the advantages of living on an island. He is trying to come to terms with the fact that this is NOT a holiday and he doesn't have to go home.
The Rev is much better now due to the fact that word of how she has been treated has got out and she is having constant visits and phone calls and hugs from people who are offering unconditional support. Also, the Big Boss has phoned her and been most supportive and horrified at what has been going on. I think that the Bully has gone too far this time and shot himself in the foot. Sometimes justice IS done.
Not much OS here today. Lots of mince slow-cooking ready for the cottage pie I am making for the drop-in on Sunday, and a fruit cake in the oven for DS and DiL2B - I can't believe that they are only 10 minutes drive away and I can do things like making cakes for them.
Have a good weekend everyone. xI believe that friends are quiet angels
