Letter from bank/solicitor during Moneyclaim online process...

I have a slightly different problem in that I am using ****** to claim my money back because I am so overhwelmed by the stress that my indebtedness is causing me (to the point of collapsing the other day and an ambulance being called, so I'm not exaggerating...). However, the crux of the problem is that the dreaded HALIFAX froze my accounts back in February (thanks to a major screw-up by the local CAB - a whole other disaaster...) but have now demanded repayment of my overdraft. Apparently it takes up to 12 weeks (ie 11 more to go) to reclaim from Halifax as they are "one of the most difficult" but once this has been done they should owe me several hundred £s (maybe into the £ks). ***** says I shouldn't eneter into an "agreement" (ie repayment) without their knowledge but if I try to forestall further action from the Halifax by saying they should wait for the outcome of the refund of charges and interest, aren't they likely to get more aggressive with me? Has anyone had a similar experience? What's your advice?0

So should i write to them, something along the lines of
"please find enclosed a list of the charges with descriptions, however, this is all the information I am willing to furnish you at this time, as I believe your other requests are issues that will be settled by the court"
You see, i don't want my mother to come across hard faced/arrogant in the letter, but at the same time, i want them to read it and think "OK, well, she knows what she's doing" if you know what I mean?0 -
Sounds okay to me0

i received a letter notifying me that barclays intend to put in a defence for one of my claims and that they had 28 days from the date of issue of the court claim, but i have since heard nothing from either them or the courts. as a result i want to ask for judgement by default which i am told i can do online, but when i log in it tells me i cant take it any further, and under status it says defence??? i haven't had anything from the court though.
can anyone advise what i should do?0 -

This is up to the judge/court to decide upon.
If you receive a letter from the court asking for further information then of course you need to reply to that.
As above, send the detailed list/spreadsheet of your charges but you don't need to answer their questions.0 -
I now have a court date for HSBC in September & their solicitor has sent me a letter asking for my bank details to assist them with their preparation.
What do i do - does this mean they're going to turn up? Or if i send the solicitor the info (why haven't they got it form HSBC) is there a chance of an out of Court settlement?
Help me?!0 -
send what they ask you for to show the court you're co-operating.might be posturing.dont worry.you might get an offer just wait and see.start getting your court bundle together.my court date is 31st aug looking forward to it in a weird kind of way.start getting prepared incase they do turn up.only thing to fear is fear itself.you'll be ok good luck0

As the above posts, send them the list/spreadsheet of your charges but you don't need to provide any further information at this stage.0 -
