Hi everyone - it is only 1st May and we are on page 17 already!!!:eek::eek: Have been away and missed the last few pages of April's challenge and now 17 pages of this one, so am sorry for all who posted, but really haven't got the time to read them all:(, so will start from here.

Came £18 over budget last month, which I am quite pleased about as even though it is still offer it is way less than it would have been had I not started this challenge, so thanks to everyone and the lovely people who run it.:T:T

Was over in my first week of this month's challenge (23 - 22 monthly), but will claw that back in the next three weeks:D. Am buying more from my own shop these days than the SM's so really pleased with that:j:j. Don't need to buy anything til the weekend and then only B&M, so should be okay this month (fingers crossed)

A huge £138 at MrT's yesterday, quite a few none food items, but I did get some good bargains and used a bunch of vouchers.

I couldn't help buying a new accounting book to help hubby and I keep track of our purchases. I definatly have a stationary addiction, but at least I didn't buy a new pen too ;)

I picked up a free (I was buying a drink from my gift card) 50g bag of coffee from Starbucks today, ask for the blonde, if you are interested, say you got an email. Also a greggs pasty for £.91
:ANeeding to save all the money, lots of MSE learning still to do

Nothing wrong with posting a budget and not quite keeping to it. Feel free to have a look at my sig at the bottom to see my pitifully low yearly budget & my even more pitiful £100 for 4 weeks budget. I wont be able to keep to either but its a start, i have dropped my spends by a lot. We were spending over £500 a month on food and takeaways & boozy things. Also it gives you something to aim for. Even if you say make a £30 saving on what you spent last month its a step in the right direction. And if you dont well its not the end of the world. Baby steps.

Evening all - just popping in to report a NSD before my lap top loses power!

I have also discovered another money saving trick. I read it on one of the forums but didnt try it until tonight. I had run out of fire lighters so stuffed a toilet roll with lint from the dryer - and it worked!!!!!

Must run - the computer is flashing me!

    Take care xx

First day of the month for me, and a nsd. I do have some stockup stuff to add from yest, but that goes onto my stockup number.

Just cooking Flo's garlic wedges, which I'm really looking forward to. Was going to do one of JJ's micropuds, but there's only me, and that'd be a bit piggy!!

May not be around much from now until Sunday, as dd has her dancing show at the theatre, and I'm chief chauffeur!! I'll probably be too knackered to come on by the time I'm home. But, that's also good, because it means there will be no time to shop!!

    Have a good one peeps,
