My final total this month is awful. £623.31/£350 . Mind you this was a lot of stocking up as a lot of the things we use were on special offer this month.

June's budget will be the same £350 but will definately be coming in under that one!!

Was very good at the supermarket today. Only spent £3.79, so I'm declaring May as GREEN, with a grocery spend of £168.42 against a target of £175

Went to Mr T's after my dad's hearing test on Tuesday, and spent only £2.29 on milk and squash, then today I spent £16.88 in A1d1 to make a total spend for this month of £124.24! I was very pleased with myself for resisting the biscuits, desserts (we'd got into a bad habit of having these recently) and even the packet of chocolate buttons I usually treat myself to, I will lose this weight, lol!

Declaring May at a slightly unhappy £232.80 / £200. Not as bad as April's £356.42 so not too bad in that respect! Onwards and upwards - June is now upon us so I'll aim to do better next month. First few nights' meals already in stock so we can start with a few NSDs.

See you on the June thread...

    Hi Folks,

Sorry to have been MIA most of the month. Been busy with work and doing the MFW2012 thread so reduced time to read and contribute here, so sorry. :o

Anyway, we did a huge stock up shop in May but on my spreadsheet I allocate parts of it across coming months as a lot won't be even looked at for months. I have loads of P*rs*l wash liquid and MrT conditioner in the attic along with other cleaning products that were on offer. Also stocked up hugely on tea, wash up liquid, butter (in freezer), cheese (in freezer) and Wh*sk*s for the [STRIKE]kittens [/STRIKE]sorry cats. :p

The total was £178.20 but only £85.72 was for use/opening in May. To be honest, after the huge underspend in April I could have just put it all through May to balance out but as I also use the spreadsheet to see what we're buying and when we're using it allocating out works best for me. I know it won't work for everyone. ;)

So, as in the sig, the total spend for May is £214.44 out of a budget of £240. We managed 21 NSD as well so all in all very pleased with the month. :D

Will just pop and register with June challenge and hope to see you over there.

    Take care,
    Spigs
