Hi everyone!
Have just updated my siggy. Still spending too much and must tighten the belt a bit more I think.
Not spending too much this week as we are running the cupboards down a bit.
Just had to buy washing liquid and disinfectant today.
Hope everyone else is doing ok. Good luck for June!Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

mummyyof5, snap with the juice. I tend to stick to the 3 for 45p Asda SP orange juice, my littles also have carrot sticks and raisins so I console myself that they have 3 of their 5 a day in their packed lunch.
I run calender month as well. Big MrS delivery today to take advantage of free delivery over £100, and £7 off a £70 voucher for buying a sandwich the other day. The cat food I bought to bump me up over £100 was out of stock so it came in at £78. Lots of tins and basics that should see us through June with the contents of the freezer. Trying to do milk/fruit/veg from the £20 per week towards his keep contributed by SS.
Made a huge 'spot the mince' chilli (2 chopped toms, 1lb mince, 4 tins of kidney beans and a good glug of red lentils) last night which was frozen in portions for OH lunches. BOGOF chorizo (MrS, £3 for 2) will be used with pork shoulder from the freezer to do a pork and butterbean casserole that I can portion up into lots of pots. I bought an 8 litre cast iron casserole from a catering website a couple of years ago which was money well spent.
Whilst the oven was on tonight I made a chocolate chip cake (3 egg mix, 1oz flour replaced with cocoa, and then 50g value chocolate chopped up and tipped in at the end) for the small boys, and a veg oil and orange based carrot cake for us to use up the slightly manky orange. Slowly tweaking the recipe to reduce the cost, and I will freeze it in slices to help with portion control issue.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Well I thought I'd get to the end of the month without anoter spend but I was wrong:mad:
I ran out of fruit and so bought 2 packs of strawberries, satsumas, milk and a bag of crisps from Aldi - £4.90.
Will add to the total but that will be it for May now - nothing needed tomorrow. Safely within the budget but it could have been better.
See you all over on June's thread.0 -
Still one day left in the month for me, as my challenge always runs from the 1st to the last day of the calendar month rather than pay day to pay day.
I do need to get a few bits tomorrow, but hopefully, I may just stay under the target figure. It will be within a pound or two either way.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -
Another NSD today - had a YS ready meal for lunch (the freezer is getting a bit barer now
)
Housemate cooked tonight - had Chicken with Cajun spice, roasted tomatoes and onions with couscous.
Have leftovers for lunch tomorrow and my housemates turn to cook tomorrow as well - fish pie with green beans.
In theory it SHOULD mean NSD's till the end of tomorrow when I declare but I'll hold off just in case I succumb to any temptations (ie Diet Coke!)Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

I'm still here til the very end of May too but I am declaring my total now as I won't be buying anything else this month (too optimistic?).
Too optimistic for me. The fat lady won't be singing until tomorrow in this house. I thought I had everything we needed by weekend and was ready to declare May. Was starting to get the point where we needed stuff again but I figured we could last until Friday and then it would be June! However OH wanted some stuff from A$da and I happened to be in the area today (L!dl, MrM, MrT and Ald! are all on my way home from work but a$da is 9 miles out of the way!) He gets the need to budget but doesn't get the month-to-month thing of why we need to wait 2 days. The special trip really wouldn't be worth it either so I spent another £11 today. Did my best to resist getting stuff that we're running low on but which could wait until we're in June proper but a few of those bits crept into the basket anyway. Could easily have been a £50 stock up so quite happy with £11. Even if it still puts me over budget for May.
Too scared to declare until tomorrow is over in case OH announces something else he's forgotten that's urgent. Currently sitting at about £232 / £200 (target) or £225 (budget) so fingers crossed that's it.0 -
