Not only is he tidying his room, but has gone through his wardrobe and put 4 bags of clothes to charity. One small bag of rubbish and is now hoovering - Think I need to go and have a lie down :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Hmmmm! Guess he's got a girlfriend? :rotfl:Needs, NOT wants!

I've got an electric whisk, but thought it would be less messy to use the processor, as well as less wasteful - tends to get all round the whisk blades. I think I might have some circular wire blades with the whisk, so will try that in future. I don't use either very often - prefer elbow grease and the extra calories burned! :rotfl:
Must check the state of the processor later - there was smoke pouring out of it!Needs, NOT wants!

Yay, can't wait to meet her then - if that's the effect:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying!:rotfl:

Did a big Mr T online shopping delivery today with a £5 off £50 spend to give free delivery to come for Tuesday. Total came to £73 - HOWEVER only £28 of that is mine.
All of it was storecupboard things such as chopped tomatoes, tuna, baked beans, toilet roll, coffee, kitchen sponges, Kitchen roll, handwash, butter, spaghetti, couscous, rice, israeli couscous (lovely!), milk, veg oil, toilet discs, orange juice, chicken stock, potatoes. Then a few lunch things and an aftershave balm for next week.
The reason why the total was higher is because my housemate has completly ran out of food - so the meat he got came out of his budget. I've got plenty of meat in the freezer for my meals so didn't need to add anything apart from storecupboard items and lunch extras.
Thank you Spending Vs Saving for another extra idea. Feeling a bit more positive about being able to use the cans up now!Grocery Challenge Jan 24 0/300

Florenceem I do a pasta dish each week with mince and have had a number of other mince related dishes, bulked out with pulses, lately (e.g. chilli con carne, cottage pie, etc) to save costs. I will have to rethink the use of mince a little better. Maybe add in a soup each week so that there is something easy and healthy which isn't mince-needing! Seeing what you and the rest are making is very inspiring though so I shall keep reading
I am quite proud of myself today though as I have taken out some casserole beef out of the freezer which is now turining into a lovely stew as we speak. The beef was cut into quite large chunks so will ladle up plates before serving to prevent gluttons eating all the meat! Lots of veg in the casserole too and will serve with roasties. Whilst the casserole was simmering I also made my first ever HM pastry which I will use lo casserole as a pie filling for tomorrow's dinner. Hoping there will be plenty of left over casserole and also lo pie to go in the freezer too! To really show you all how OS I've been with my casserole I used veg which were on the point of turning and fished out some frozen red wine to add flavour to the sause. Now I have NEVER ever not finished every drop of wine in a bottle but a couple of weeks ago I read that someone else (can't remember who) used to do that so that they didn't have to open a full bottle (or buy a new one) for recepies where a little wine was asked for. Very proud of my restraint with the wino and with now adding it to the casserole.
In other news, OH has just given in to my pleading that I be given a small chest freezer as an early birthday present too so from next week I intend to make all our bread. Will do a twice-monthly big batch of 8 breads in one go so that we have enough in the freezer for the month (think 16 breads will be enough, may not need that many). I recon that will save me about a quarter of my grocery budget at least - time will tell!
See how you have all transformed me into an OS novice? Finally had my eyes opened and I am ready to tackle my debts!

I went in Mr T and got some monkey nuts, custard powder and fresh peppers. They had Pilgrim's Choice cheese at half price - I bought a kilo for £4.50. :j I also got a plastic measuring jug - I have two Pyrex ones but when I am cooking - I get through a lot of equipment!
My spend was £16.87 but Mr F gave me two £10 gift cards he got for doing computer surveys! :j So I have a little bit left on a card.
