I bet you could use tortillas or flat breads too instead of pancakes in a lasagne!!!!
Hmmm, *scratches chin thoughtfully*. I am sure I have some in the freezer.
I have 4 big courgettes to use up in the salad box so I am now open to suggestions on thrifty recipes or else I am banging em into a curry.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Spent £4.48 today - we needed milk plus a couple of other things.
We had HM wedges with spicy baked beans and lamb kebabs in a roll for dinner.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

A catering order this morning so we've had bread delivered but I'm counting that as business spend and hoping for another NSD. Quiches & sausage rolls cooked, cake platters and fruit platters made, I just need to make the sandwiches & wraps now. A couple of extra sarnies and that's lunch covered too.
Thanks to Tessie Bear I might make cheese scones for the children's tea too.0 -
I am planning on another NSD today - if I manage it, that will be 3 days in a row :j
Made HM blueberry scotch pancakes for breakfast but burnt a couple when my neighbour rang and I left the
kitchen to answer phone.....oops
But I plucked the blueberries out of the burnt inedible ones and used them in the next pancakes.....very MSE I thought!!
:money:
Had a change of plan yesterday for tea and had a HM lamb tagine I had frozen, ate it with bulgar wheat - it was lovely albeit a bit spicey for me!
Still have 1/2 left so that can be lunch or tea.
No idea what to do for the other meal.....
It should be something HM out of the freezer, I need some space for Mondays D*nald R*ssel meat delivery
I thought I was doing very well yesterday when I took the lamb tagine portion OUT of the freezer, but then I remembered I had put IN 6 portions of quiche! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Courgette muffins/ cake - seriously good, we discovered them when we had an allotment 3 addresses ago and the only thing that grew well was courgettes.
Just use a carrot cake recipe and substitute all or part of the grated carrots for courgette. You don't need to peel them but I do to remove any tell-tale green flecks - fussy kids and OH;)0 -
Morning all, grotty weather outside. I'm working from home today as i am looking after my nephew. he has shingles (hes only 11)? Hi everyone!
I'm a happy bunny again today:j My new glass door arrived this morning and is now in place -I am so pleased:j Didn't know it was possible to get so excited about a piece of glass:o
I'm going to slow roast some belly pork slices today for dinner tonight and serve with Hm Yorkshire Pud., Mash and Carrots. I think I will also make a fresh fruit salad for Pud.
I am eyeing up the sourdough batter again and wondering if I dare turn some into yet more rolls. I love the process of bread baking, but I am making so many rolls, they have to go straight into the freezer. The cake tin is fairly fully so DH is happy:)Hope everyone is having a good day.
PS. Hopefully a NSD today.Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin
