I need to decide between these two for Broadband but need a little help.
Currenlty on BT together option 1. No bb right now, just dial up.
Have sky and can get the BB for £5. Good price. Can take Sky Talk.
Can take the Talk Talk option, will cost about £4 a month more, not too concerned about that. It will include free calls etc to landlines.
I have been using 18866 for calls. Will I be able to use 18866 or any other CPS like Primus with either of the above companies. I have read this and want to keep my options open if I can.
Ideally I do not want to keep all my eggs in one basket with Sky but want the most flexibility if that is possible
Thanks

I'm also in the same postition, I was hoping to get the Tiscali 8MB Deal but doesn't look like there going to do it, I was told Feb and then March it would be released.
Can someone explain what 40GB usage is? I see both Sky and Talk Talk have this. I'm on dial up just now and use the internet for surfing, banking and the odd download here and there.0 -
40GB is the amount you can download per month. This is a substantial amount for someone who just surfs generally. Only if you download masses of songs, video or games should you be concerned.
Still wating for an answer to my question though.Yeah, cheers but nah, I will stick with yes, thank you and no.
Thank you.0 -
Talk Talk has an abysmal record for customer service, its been on Watchdog lots of times, even its boss admits he got it wrong. Sky Broadband is signing on 3500 new customers per week, customer service is not brilliant but there is a lot of help available on the web.
Me: Line rental to BT, Talk talk 1 for calls, Sky BB mid at £5.00 a month
PS My migration from Orange took 3 months to get right. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
Can anyone tell me what "Connect" is with Sky? On the Sky website it states that the Sky Broadband network is still being rolled out over the country. So, if Sky isn't available in my area at the moment who actually is providing the Broadband?
I think the deal of £5 per month for the BB is great - Has anyone had any issues with Sky Broadband?
I think i'm going to go for the offer on Monday:
BT £11.00 per month / Sky TV 2 Mixes £15.00 / Sky BB Connect £5.000 -

OK SKY connect will cost you £17 per month! unless your exchange has been LLU'd (this means BT have allowed others such as SKY to install equipment) Another issue is that SKY will not send out equipment until the line has been enabled which is ok for new users but people switching will have to do without BB until they get the kit as SKY have "fiddled" with the modem so that it will work on their system but other modems will not!
Hope this helpsDave0 -

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the reply - You say Sky BB Connect is £17, but the Sky website states it is now been reduced to £50 -
SKY MID is £5 pm if you can get it (LLU exchange) if not SKY connect is £17 pm!
Unless I am wrong!Dave0 -
Yeah, it was £17 per month for Sky Connect but now showing as £5.00 per month - Exactly the same as Sky Mid.0

Do you have to have sky tv in order to get bb for £50

Yes, according to the sky website the cheapest package is £15 per month.
I've not got Sky TV or Broadband at the moment. I think £20.00 per month for Sky TV and Sky Broadband is a good deal.
What do you think of the deal?0
