This why people go to CMC's. Doing it yourself leads to dead ends as the lenders can fob you off. The CMC's don't take no for an answer.
Nothing in that article suggests any reason to use a claims company.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

Apart from when it states claim management companies are efficient. Or where it states 70% of the FOS' referrals are from CMC's.
Your response was trite and meaningless. A bit like when someone knows they've lost an argument but continue in order to save face.0 -

According to MOJ figures they receive one justifiable complaint for every £15,000 of turnover in the CMC financial sector.
By any standards this is an astonishingly high complaints ratio for an indutry and does not demonstrate efficiency.0 -

Would you agree if a person followed the forum's advice and has failed with the banks and the FOS, that they should turn to a cmc?
It seems as though you and others are saying under no circumstances use a cmc.
At the very least inform consumers of the best ones available if they are going to use them.0 -

Once you've complained about PPI and gone down the FOS route, you can't use a cmc. You can't complain twice.
As far as the article is concerned, it seemed more to be suggesting that if it hadn't been for spam text messages, the person concerned wouldn't have known they could reclaim PPI, which is more a matter of information, than praise.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

No.
What could a CMC do if the complaint has already been dismissed by the FOS?
Notwithstanding the FOS has repeatedly said that there is no advantage in using a CMC over doing it yourself.0 -

I suspect you will dismiss the concerns of those posting, or suggest the fos was right in coming to the conclusion they did in each individual case, but for a moment lets assume the fos got it wrong. What does it say about the fos and how they reach their conclusions?
The fos isn't a consumer champion, yet it advises consumers not to use cmc's. To what purpose? No win no fee, right?0 -

Volume is not indication of efficiency. How about that over half of PPI complaints submitted by claims companies do not even have PPI. How efficient is that?Your response was trite and meaningless. A bit like when someone knows they've lost an argument but continue in order to save face.
Your responses are ill thought out and wrong. You just sound like a desperate claims company rep who is trying to justify their existence. I cannot believe you are a consumer as no-one is that silly.
Silly thread from people that lost their complaints and therefore want to blame the FOS. Looking at some of the reasons given, you can see that they are just firing out at the FOS in anger rather than because the FOS has done wrong.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
