I do not take any notice of any reviews on that site as I do not trust
them after reading several instances of review 'adulteration' shall we say.
.
I do use customer reviews as long as there are a decent number and the comments are consistent. They can be informative.
The introduction of Amazon VerifiEd Purchase reviews will help to some extent.
But, yeah, it's impossible to ensure every review is genuine.0 -

That's the one I just used to make a complaint about these reviews.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -

Read her 12 pages + of reviews! The reviewer Livvy Couch "Olivia" (UK) is undoubtedly posting fake positive reviews, and Amazon should have removed them when the op reported themSheldon_Cooper wrote: »I've sent an email as well. Hi everyone, I just wanted to know if anyone has had a response from Amazon yet? The reviews are still there.....0 -
You know, I don't think this is a 'biggy' to be upset about. I take reviews with 'a pinch of salt'....maybe the reviews have been found to be genuine?
I'd just let it go.
I disagree.
IT's beyond stupid to clutter up a site like Amazon with reviews that are useless.
I received a message from Amazon asking for more information which I have supplied. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Well I certainly won't lose any sleep over it. :rotfl: However, I did nearly buy something partly based on one of the reviews so it does concern me directly. It's only because I know to take reviews with a BIG pinch of salt that I checked out the reviewers other reviews.0 -
I got a reply to my complaint asking for links to the suspicious reviews and I sent them a selection of 15 where there were clusters of many reviews for the same type of product.
In reply to this amazon said:Thanks for bringing this reviewer to our attention. We'll read each of the reviews and remove any that violate our guidelines. Any reviews we find outside our guidelines will be removed within 48 hours.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -

If they are still there next week we might need a plan B ........... Any ideas for a plan B anyone ????0 -
Regarding QVC cherrypicking reviews.. I had a review turned down by them as I dared to mention the fact that Liz Earle is actually owned by Avon. They made the excuse that they don't like other companies to be named in a product's review..... but they are the same company!
I think they're misleading the public by making out Liz Earle is a small independent British company when they are owned and financed by a huge US company! They even get voted for in the QVC British product awards!
Sorry for diverting the conversation for a second but this really bugged me!I'm so sorry if you were enjoying this thread and mine is the last post!!
I seem to have a nasty habit of killing threads!0 -
One good reason to use your own blog to review a product. I used mine to hammer Aldi's 'Rapid Ice Clear', it has been no. 1 on google for anyone searching for that product for over 4 months.
Anyway, if you read-up on Hama, you will see from their company history that they have a range of guest brands such as Samsonite and Sandisk. They don't make the product or even own the company, they just have worldwide distribution rights.Never Knowingly Understood.
