Did you complain through your account Azari? If so how?
Or if you used an email address, which one? The only one I can find is reviews-help@amazon.co.uk but they say that is for information about writing or submitting reviews? Not sure if that's the right one?0 -
Funny, I knew exactly who you were talking about just from your first post.
I do not take any notice of any reviews on that site as I do not trust
them after reading several instances of review 'adulteration' shall we say.
And according to a poster of a thread not that long ago on here, they did ban him/her.0 -
When I initially contacted Amazon they told me to use the
reviews-help@amazon.co.uk address.
. I know it must be hard or even impossible to stop one off rogue reviews but you would have hoped they could do something about the really obviously fake ones.0 -
Hi Vuvuzela,
At first look the reviews do look ok but one of the prolific reviewers almost exclusively reviews Hama's products. Hama's products include samsonite, Celestron, Sandisc, muse, TREADnet etc etc. You can look up Hama's product range on thier UK website.
If you have time please take a look and let me know what you think.
Thanks
Are you sure they own Samsonite? Certainly right into last year they were owned by CVC Capital Partners and RBS.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
The company I do business with has a message board. It is selective in some cases which messages remain.
The company owns the facility, the website and the message board.
It is the same with the pub as well.
As for one thing so called inn review place, I understand there may be some contentionI hvae nt snept th lst fw mntes writg ths post fr yu t cme alng hre nd agre wth m!

In your account:
1) Go to 'help'
2) Select 'Other Order Issues'
3) Select 'Other Questions'
4) Fill in the edit box and send. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
Yes sorry about being coy, I am new to the site and didn't want to post something libelous
.
Try looking at the reviews on Amazon for the following item. Samsonite Makemo 40H Digital Camera Case - Black
Best to cut and paste as there are similar items. I have double checked and thisdoes come up if you enter it in amazon's product search. I would really appriciate some feedback
I am a huge Amazon fan and would have assumed they would be able to spot obviously fake reviews.
Thanks
Four reviews in 3 years, hardly grounds to think something untoward is going on!If my posts have random wrong words, please blame the damn autocorrect not me0 -

I don't know what the current situation is but Samsonite Was listed as a brand on Hama's website up until very recently. There are items listed as both Hama and Samsonite on Amazon. For example 'Hama Samsonite Safaga 60C Camera Bag'0 -
There is a specific law against posting on forums and the like for a business your associated with and not making the connection clear eg your pretend to be a member of the public.
"18. A wolf in sheep’s clothing
Falsely claiming or creating the impression that the
trader is not acting for purposes relating to his/her trade,
business, craft or profession, or falsely representing
oneself as a consumer"
http://www.oft.gov.uk/shared_oft/business_leaflets/cpregs/oft979.pdf
A complaint should be made to the businesses local Trading Standards for them to investigate
P.S I strongly recommend everyone reads the entire link, as it's an has some amazing consumer protection laws which you're probably unaware of as it's fairly new0
