Nationwide Mortgages - How long??

Just to update everyone on our situation with NW so far.
15th May - AIP submitted and approved.
17th May - Full application submitted, additional docs requested, mortgage fees and homebuyers report paid for.
20th May - Documents posted to NW.
21st May - Documents marked as received and awaiting approval by NW. Contact NW to chase up homebuyers survey - find out it's with Countrywide and they chase their bookings department claiming survey will be booked today or tomorrow.
22nd May - Receive e-mail and phone call from NW requesting more documents - spoke to them and they agreed they have all but an additional payslip required (go to branch to send off payslip). Chase NW again about survey, who chase Countrywide + give Countrywide details to EA to chase. Finally, get text and e-mail to say valuation is booked in for the 9th June.
Having dealt with NW on the phone, they have been super friendly and helpful so far and it's always quite quick to get through to them.
Just fingers crossed now that all goes well with the survey!0 -

Hello, how did you get on, what was the outcome?0 -
13th May - AIP
15th May - Full Application
16th May - Valuation arranged for 27th May
27th May - Satisfactory valuation
29th May - Formal Mortgage Offer
Surprised it all went so smoothly, especially with an apparently poor credit rating (down to be a recent student I guess, with my electoral roll history being a bit shambolic?)0 -
Hi
We had a pretty quick turnaround
13th May AIP with advisor
15th May full application
27th May valuation
28th May valuation satisfactory
29th May offer received
how fast do nationwide release funds?0 -
I'm pleased to read some positive nationwide mortgage offers and they seem to be happening quick, I have my valuation next week so I hope mine happens quickly and all goes well0

We ran in to a few snags with our application and their assessment of my boyfriend's income (he's a teacher and gets an additional payment called TLR that they wouldn't accept) but we submitted a letter from his employment to say that his income will increase and they have finally accepted that as proof.
9th June: Homebuyers Survey carried out
11th June: Homebuyers received, valuation satisfactory
13th June: E-mail from Nationwide to say that they'd received our additional documentation and that the decision has been moved to an 'accept'
Just waiting on the formal offer now! :-)
It seems for others it has been much quicker but for us it will have been about 4-5 weeks from application to acceptance which I don't think is too bad (particularly as we had to wait for our survey to be done).0 -
Offer on Wednesday which was 8 working days from application0
-
We got out aip in May and had to send off most recent payslip and bank statement. All were ok. When we do full application will we need to send in anymore ID?0
-
Applied on 12th July via Broker. Offer received today
Happy with the speed and the updates via text they provide.0
