Definitely an Alfa then :rotfl: (though to be fair the 2 I had cost me less in 3yrs than my Audi A4 has in 6 months)

I dunno. I've only looked at the advert and I can feel that Merc putting it's hand in my pocket.

That said, 3.5 ton of car with a 5.4l engine, 354bhp and a 0-60 time of 5.5 seconds will do that to you.

    5t.
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?

I'd also be looking at the Merc - a colleague had one back in the 90's - cost the thick end of £60k but god did it go

I'd vote for a slightly older Merc. Easily get an estate and loads of space.

If you could bear 10-12 yrs would meet 2k easily.

Other vote would be for the Skoda Octavia. Basicallt VW Passat in another guise. We had one at work as a pool car after a buy out... the most requested car!
    NOT a NEWBIE!

I want something thats going to make me cry with fuel bills or make me ask the mechanic if his calculator is broken when he presents me with his service bill. Not quite at mid life crisis age but I'm getting there (31)!

Then become a fully paid up member of the "Petrolheads Club"
