Well I certainly enjoyed it! Half the celebs skated this week and the other half will skate next week. Pammie Anderson was voted off which she blamed on her b00bs falling out of her dress :eek:but gawd knows why she didn't have a bit more to her outfit (other than for it to be as revealling as possible!) or why she was even bothered as we've all seen them enough before! I've heard she could do with her own debt free diary though so she will be gutted not to have boosted her career some more!
Unfortunately I have to retract the statement that I'm feeling better. I hardly slept a wink all night between coughing and my throat making this really weird involuntary noise . I ended up on the sofa thinking it would help if I tried to sleep more upright, but it didn't and then I was just worrying about DH being alone in bed incase he had a seizure!! DS2 got up at 6.30am and I honestly could have cried, I felt so bad. DH got up at 7.30 and sent me back to bed. I set my alarm for 8am but dozed back off again so it was panic stations when I realised it was 8.14, DH hadn't woken DS1 for school and we normally leave at 8.40am!! DS1 was crying when I woke him up saying he didn't want to go to school and made everything worse but refusing to rush to get ready and have his breakfast. Early night for everyone tonight methinks!!
On the money front, when I logged in to my online banking this morning it directed me to a screen saying they guarantee acceptance of a credit card for me at 0% for 17 months (3% fee). I'm really tempted by this as we could shift some of the ridiculously high LTSB balance and save quite a bit, however 2 things bother me. 1) it's S@nt@nder who I worked really hard to get rid of as their customer service is appalling and 2) if they don't give me a decent limit it just means creating an extra payment structure in the month for small savings. Will probably go for it but will mull it over a but longer XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Morning PLMBL.
Sorry to hear you are not feeling well again. We had a similar rush this morning with reluctant children. DD has a cough which kept her awake abit last night, but I don't think she is bad enough to be off school, and to be honest I was looking forward the a peaceful day.
I wonder if you called up Santander they could tell you over the phone what credit limit you could get.?
I had that problem a few months ago. I applied for a Barclaycard to do a Balance transfer of £4000. And they gave me an £1000 credit limit. So now of course both cards are maxed out .
I do hope you feeling better today, I assume you are not in work.?
Take it easy xx0 -
Steph I only work 10 hours per week and I normally do that on a thursday and a saturday so I'm not in today thankfully. There are more hours available but due to DH's benefit I can't do them. Quite frankly I don't want to anyway with everything else going on. It's really hard to have to get a babysitter for your Husband as well as the kids everytime you want to go out!! For that reason I'm looking in to carers allowance instead. XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

I've managed to get a shower and wash/dry my hair today but that's all
. I'm still in my dressing gown!!
Got the date for my pelvic scan at the hospital for next friday - which clashed with the work focused interview I have at the job centre that day! I rang the hospital on the off chance they'd had a cancellation and my scan could be brought forward, but no joy, so I rang the Job Centre to change their appointment as the scan is more important. This will now be the 4th time that the JCP appointment as been changed . Twice they haven't told me about it beforehand and then wondered why I wasn't there  and once they cancelled it as the advisor was off sick, so technically I am only 'in the wrong' for the first time! I still have to prove it to them by letting them have a copy of the hospital letter though! Cheek!
I then rang the carers helpline number I was given about making a claim for carers allowance. They said I was entitled to it but they couldn't say how it would affect our other benefits etc, so I then had to call the ESA department to ask them. Their automated system wasn't working so I ended up through to the wrong people . They then said they would email my query to the right department and I'd get a call back before 1pm tomorrow. Forgive me if I don't hold my breath!
My boss then called and said she has rejigged the rota and I'm not needed on thursday night, which is fab apart from yet more wages lost. I will now be £65 down on payday!
DH and DS2 went to Mr T's with MIL (this time with strict instructions on curbing the spends :rotfl:) and spent £14.77 without deviating from the list :T.
I'm not going to go to fat club tonight, I really don't have the energy. DH and the boys are still going to go to MIL's for tea as she has it all prepared and it saves me the job. I shall just enjoy the peace and quiet at home! Will pay the £5 I normally pay for the class off a debt instead.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

S@nt@nder will only do a balance transfer to another card in my name, and as LTSB card is in DH's name that's no good
At least I asked the question before I made the application.
Back to the drawing board then XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Aarrgh PLMBL, What a frustrating day .
Good you found out about Santander before you had another application on your credit file.
How cheeky that the Job centre can cancel you three times but they want proof when you cancel . Maybe you should have sked for proof when they cancelled :rotfl:
Hope tomorrow is a better day0 -
Had a better day today
ESA people rang first thing this morning to say that if I was in receipt of Carers Allowance, they'd reduce DH's benefit by the amount of the allowance, however he would then be awarded a Carers Premium of £32.60 per week so we would be better off by that amount. Furthermore, if I wasn't working, they wouldn't deduct the carers allowance as I'd have that in place of my wages, so we could be receiving the same money without me going to work. I have to apply online and will do that tonight. Sounds positive so far!
DS2 was at playgroup this afternoon in their new 3 hour session, so DH and I went to the MetroCentre shopping. I took my rings to the jewellers and they gave me £115 for them :j
Other than that we only spent 99p on some baby wipes and 39p on paracetamol, however, we decided to treat ourselves to coffee and a doughnut at Kr1spy Kreme which was £6.05. To be perfectly honest the doughnut was too sweet, but I'd have paid double for the time DH and I just sat, the two of us, having quality grown up time!Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Hi PLMBL
Good news with the benefits :T It all adds up.
Well done getting the money for your rings. I have just posted mine to postgoldforc#sh. fingerscrossed I get a similar amount as you got.
Glad you enjoyed your time with hubby. We are the same, we don't often get to go out together. Before New year hubby and I had to pop into town to bank cash etc and we had a lovely time wandering round town and people watching.
We all really ought to make more time for simple pleasure like that.
Glad you had a good day xx0
