  • Sorry Ive not been around for the past few days. You are really going through the mill arent you ? .

You really must take it easy, is it wise to even consider trying to work on Saturday ? I know you need the money but your health really must come first

I am a rubbish patient as well and it has come back and bitten me on the bum more times than I care to mention, so take note . You won't do yourself any good in the long run .

Now consider yourself told off and get back to the all important job of tv watching madam ! X

  • Thank goodness for antibiotics!!! I can now move around without squealing in pain :j. I don't feel 100% but I'd say 60%, which is a damn sight better than 0% yesterday.

I'm still in my spot on the sofa though. Can't see me going to work tomorrow.

  • Heh heh Granny, love it Xx

Not much more to report from me today. MIL took DH & DS2 food shopping today so I had some real relaxation time. I spent it reading various MSE forums :rotfl:.

I wrote DH a very comprehensive shopping list about how to get the best deals, but even so I found it hard to relinquish control :o. I scrutinised the bill when he got back and felt sure I could have got it cheaper :rotfl:. Bless him, he did a good job though and spent less than £40. There was a time he would have spent £40 on rubbish on top of the list of things I'd asked him to get .

One thing I was shocked at though was the cat food we normally buy at £2.45 was £3.05. That's one heck of a jump! According to the receipt we then got 76p off though as they have 25% off pet supplies at the minute. Overall we still got it cheaper at £2.29 so I can't really complain, but I find it disgusting they hiked the price up first so the loss to themselves was less.

plmbl You really have been through the mill. I hope you are soon on the mend. And make the most of your time on the sofa. I bet you don't get many chances to rest and put your feet up.

I noticed that dog food had gone up as well as the cat food. we even did a searc h on the internet and it was cheaper to buy locally as the cost of fuel to collect or delivery made it more expensive elsewhere.

Must write a note to buy cat and dog food when we are out and about. The problem is it takes up so much room in the car.

  • You are right Pooh I don't, but I am doing so now after a rather fraught morning!

I called in sick, there's no way I can work like this. Boss was fine about it though and said she hadn't expected me in, so that's all good apart from no wages.

DS1 asked if we could put the christmas tree up as we would be 'stuck in all day'. It's a little early for us but I agreed thinking it would be a nice thing for the boys to do while I supervised from the sofa. How wrong was I?? The decorations weren't with the tree so DH tore the house apart to then find them back in the same place we started at, even though he was 'sure' they weren't there before. DS2 then got in the way of the tree erecting process which annoyed the other 2. DS1 generally behaved like a prat and annoyed everyone else. DS2 then dropped all the baubles and smashed the one with DS1's name on, which of course he took as a personal insult. DH got angry to the point I thought he might explode and I was left wishing I'd gone to work after all!!

So. MIL has come to the rescue and has taken them all out to buy another decoration and give me some time to rest properly. I feel like I've been part of World War 7!!
