  • Such a shame that you don't have anyone to give you hand me downs DF(w), it saves me a fortune. I've been putting all DS2's things that he's outgrown into the loft for now until I'm 100% sure I'm not having any more! Still sat at about 96% on that one!

Today the boys went rock climbing at an indoor centre. DS1 used to go every week and was in the Junior Academy. He was so good infact that the coaches thought he could be world class. Til he got bored with it and refused to go any more . Anyway, DS2 had his first lesson today and DS1 reminded himself how good it was so hopefully that will become a more regular occurrence. It's expensive though, £8 per boy per session.

Work tonight was quieter than usual but still ticking over. Seems not everyone is on a diet in January :p Xx

  • Today has unexpectedly turned out to be a day in the house. DS1 has been messing about on the computer and who knows what he's been doing but it wouldn't run anything and there were pop up ads all over the place . Spent ages sorting it all out and then MiL requested DH's help after lunch so that was then pretty much the whole day written off in terms of going anywhere. Have to say it's not really a problem when it's so wet and miserable outside. Should mean a NSD too which is always a bonus.

Trying to use my time wisely today. As well as the normal laundry mountain and never ending tidying up, I've applied for a CEA card for DH which will mean that I get in free at the cinema as his carer. It cost £5.50 but I figured that would mean we more than break even, even if we only use it once, but I bet we get a fair bit of use from it. I've also done my monthly debt calculation for the month, a tad early but it's good news. Total debt now stands at £5610 so we should be sub five and a half thousand by next month :D. One 0% deal runs out in Feb though so fingers crossed we can move it again and it won't put it up too much with fees etc.

DH has just passed the 13 week seizure free mark. This makes him happy as it is now a quarter of the way to being a year seizure free. Conversely it makes me very nervous as it is usually around now that another seizure happens. His record is 20 weeks seizure free but it's more normally 12-14 weeks between seizures. Keep your fingers crossed please everybody! Xx

  • Thanks for all the support everyone :D.

Well yesterday was indeed a NSD. First of the month, and the year for that matter! Aunt Flo landed last night so cycle seems to have returned to normal :D. Used it as an excuse to just sit and watch trashy tv - splash, take me out and celeb BB :p.

Went to Mr A's today as DS1 wanted to buy himself an xbox game with some of his Christmas money. DH then found something he NEEDED for £7 (some battery pack thing) so I found myself looking at the clothes. Found 2 tops I liked at £14 each and couldn't decide which one to get so I bought both in the hope of choosing one and taking the other back. Feel guilty about that though as by rights I shouldn't have bought any. Also bought DS2 a dvd for 50p which was a bargain as he is glued to it (Fantastic Four).

Mum popped over before which was nice, and now we are in for the day. A combo of Dancing on Ice and getting ready for back to school tomorrow is the plan. Happy Sunday everyone! Xx

  • Hi plmbl, just wanted to say that I also have my fingers crossed for you that your DH remains seizure free.

As for the tops I think you deserve a little treat every now and then, you do so much and work so hard at looking after everyone, please don't feel guilty.

My fingers are crossed too Lucky! Do not in any way shape or form feel guilty about the tops. If you bought yourself ten tops you would still deserve them!
