  • Aw, so nice to log on and see so many lovely messages :A.

MiT, it's not that I actually want Aunt Flo, coz who does?, but I'm kind of worried about where 'she' is! As soon as 'she' arrives I'll be desperate for 'her' to go, but I'd be relieved if 'she' puts in an appearance!! I'm sorry 'she's' landed on you though.

Chev I'm pleased to be useful for something, even if it's just in a "thank !!!! I'm not her" way :D :rotfl:

KJ so nice of you to stop by! I've been meaning to find your diary too as it sounds like you are the inspirational one not me. Stick around, Buffy's got the kettle on!

Thank you for the hugs Aesop and Buffy, most appreciated! Right back atcha, and everyone else.

Well I had big plans of getting out to a Nat Trust place or something today (and having a NSD), but the day has run away with itself despite DS2 having me up at 6am :(. The boys were playing with friends in the garden and didn't want to leave and then my Mum's cat needed feeding as she has been away for the weekend (again!), followed by DS1 deciding he wanted to trade in some old xbox games for a new one so a trip to the shops was required. While we were there DH needed paracetamol so we went into Mr A's - £20 worth of shopping later we left :(.

So, homework done, boys playing the new game, I have to make tea, do ironing and then I'm off duty while I watch Xfactor. I wasn't impressed that Mrs O let Joeseph go home yesterday! I like a bit of rough :o.

    Hi Lucky

Hope you've got your feet up watching X factor! I always like the groups best - don't know why. I was surprised they let Joseph go too. And where are the "joke" acts this year? We don't appear to have seen the rubbish ones much this year. Glad things seem to have calmed down in the lucky household.

  • DH hasn't been 100% today. I thought his recovery had been too quick! Thankfully he hasn't been bad in terms of seizure, but he has been a bit vacant for want of a better word. I'm hoping he's just tired as he's been helping his best friend this afternoon. BF's girlfriend had red paint poured all over her brand new white car through the night Saturday into Sunday :mad:, and they have been cleaning it all off today.

Beavers was hard going tonight. They were on the ceiling! My head is still ringing. Remind me again why I do it??!!

Oops hadn't watched X factor before reading this. Have to admit, loved Joseph last year, found him a tad wet this year. Some talented acts got through this series.

looking forward to live shows, will miss 1st though as away next werkend but will hopefully catch up before I read about it :p

Hope OH is ok tomorrow and as you say is just tired. Hope you get a good night's sleep after Beavers

HI lucky, sorry OH hasn't been 100%, it must be so tough to be constantly (even subconsciously) on the look out for him. Would he benefit from having a service dog, ie one that is trained to sense seizures? Just a thought. A bit random I know.

Hope things will come right for the weekend. Including 'flo'

..Actually that's a brilliant idea - problem is there are very few ready-to-go trained dogs around.

We've all read of family pets who develop an awareness of "wrongness" in their owners which can be life-saving - years ago when DS was heavily medicated to prevent further strokes/fits, I certainly watched - very closely - the way our senior dog of the time behaved with my son; on a couple of occasions her attention to him led me to take a seemingly well child to hospital. Both times DS' blood chemistry was way off normal - but he didn't fit because we got back to the ward in time (had a "pass A&E - go straight to Paeds" card for DS as he was a long-term-patient).

But that dog was one of three in our family in those days - the other two didn't have the 'talent'..

Still, it might be worth investigating as these days there is an organisation which trains dogs to detect an imminent seizure:

Robin, what an amazing dog. It is amazing what dogs can sense. It would be great if plmbl could get one ready trained.

I am training my dog to get the washing out of the machine for me. I thought he was doing really well but Mr P has discovered lots of pairs of used underwear in his bed. Dirty dog prefers the used clothes!
