Wow Granny I didn't know you were a poet!! Yet another talent
!
Unfortunately Michelle seems in no rush to chose. The email I got back says
Dear PLMBL
The next stage involves Michelle choosing the winner, which she will do in the next couple of weeks although there's no set date for this.
As soon as she's chosen her winner, I'll be in touch.
Congrats to Connor for getting this far, and in first place, brilliant!
So it's still a waiting game.
Beavers started back last night and they were hyper!! Infact that is a major understatement and I was quite frazzled by 7pm. My neighbour had invited me round to hers last night with another friend, so the idea was to get the boys in bed, have a quick tea and go next door. However, DH was in a foul mood when I got back from Beavers, and we spent a while arguing/sulking (him) and feeling down (me) so I didn't even get any tea. Had a nice couple of hours chat next door though.
Today we have taken some things to the tip and did a bit of shopping for bits for Connor's birthday. I also managed to pick up some school trousers for £2 per pair, in the current size and the next size so well chuffed with that.
The other day DH asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I said nothing as we can't afford it and I'd had my hair done anyway. He suggested buying flowers and I said the thought was good enough. Today he mentioned the flowers again and I said if he was going to spend £10 I'd rather get a new top or something. When we were on our way back to the car he got annoyed that he'd forgot my flowers and I again said I didn't need any. This afternoon his Mum arrived with flowers for me from DH and he owes her the money. Am I a b1tch for not being more enthusiastic about the flowers? I mean who wouldn't want flowers, they are lovely, but a) they were £10 b) MIL chose them and c) I said several times I didn't need them.
I'm a b1tch aren't I??Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

No, you're not, who wants flowers (lovely though they may be) when you could have had a top or something more durable and/or useful instead? Especially when you are working so hard to be debt free. I remember years ago when I was on an incredibly tight budget and I really wanted five litres of brilliant white to regloss the house right through. Refused, lol. This year I want supermarket gift cards, probably got no chance, but it could be such fun getting £10 like that, then trying to double it by buying special offers etc with it. Ah well.
Have a wonderful birthday tomorrow and hope there are lots of goodies in store for you xx“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
Ooooooh lucky you bi-atch!
ha ha. Absolutely not! It's different when money is in plentiful supply. By all means, waste spend money on flowers. But when money is short and you're counting the pennies, there are better/more useful things that money could be spent on. Even a vegetable plant would do!

No, I'm a b1tch. Pure and simple. Can't believe I'm whinging about being bought flowers for my birthday. Who cares if we can't afford it/he didn't choose them/I could have had something else.
DH loves me and organised flowers the best way he knew how.
His wife is a b1tch.
Poor him.

Ok ok! You're a bi-atch with a nice bunch of flowers
Hold your head high! As you said yourself: 'DH loves me and organised flowers the best way he knew how'Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Nope sorry, not going to agree with you on this one. Whilst he did what he thought was nice, you really cannot help your feelings of disappointment
Have a fantastic day tomorrow

Oh you bia-tch!
only kidding I had a similar row with my DH last year :rotfl: I b1tched and moaned about him always forgetting my birthday (which if anyone has the excuse for that it's your husband and not mine) and when I got some flowers delivered to my door I went nuts :rotfl: told him i would rather him have given me the money so I could buy something useful :rotfl:I'm a biatch too so i'll join you
