  • Cheers everyone!

This morning I felt physically better but rather emotionally unstable. DS2 kept saying he wanted to cry because the babies had died, and could we not just have one of them back?! Heartbreaking! DH then 'jokingly' called me hormonal which I found really insensitive. I think I have a pretty good reason to be hormonal and it's not to be made fun of . Anyway, after a big blowout (snotty, crying, angry, quivering wreck!) I felt a bit better!!

We went to the coast this afternoon and it was absolutely chockablock! I couldn't get parked at the beach so we went to the park a mile or so down the road. Unfortunately the water play area at the park was out of action and the boys desperately wanted to get wet, so daft me suggested walking back along to the beach and leaving the car at the park. Walking there was not a problem, but walking back seemed like a 10mile hike. As usual, I did too much too soon but I managed to get back to the car slowly and a bit wobbly. The chips we had at the beach were worth the hike though!! MIL came too and I paid for her fish and chips because she paid for our meal yesterday. In total I spent £25  Still the better deal though as she paid £60 yesterday!!

So now I'm back on the sofa for the rest of the day Xx

  • :naughty: naughty naughty! You mrs Plmbl, need rest! Not long walks, although i'm sure the fresh air did you some good...BUT... please please listen to your body and take it easy! :grouphug: have a hug for earlier, sometimes a good old cry/scream/tantrum is the best way to make yourself feel better though, so I hope it's done its job.

DD kept asking for the beach earlier and after last year's traffic jams around BH's I avoided it like the plague :rotfl:ours sound the same as yours! Glad you enjoyed the fish & chips and are eating regularly though, it'll hopefully build you back up :A

  • Glad you had a good day out yesterday. Sounds fun! And thanks to MIL for carvery :) Really pleased you got some pampering in there! Amazing what a little TLC can do, huh?! ;) More of that please!!

Sorry to hear DS has slipped down in the competition, and as DFW says, he's a winner in our eyes! We know you don't need a holiday to prove how proud you are of him (would be a nice touch though!! ;) lol)

Hope you got a good sleep last night - which I'm sure you did after the marathon!

Take care and look after number 1 please! :D

  • Thanks for the concern everyone!! HAW, when I eventually got to sleep last night I slept like a log, but it took me ages to drop off and I couldn't work out why. Have since remembered DH making me drink some sugarfree energy drink late afternoon!! So I was physically tired but mentally buzzing .

Today we went to Wallington Hall (free with our Nat trust membership) but as I had nothing in for a picnic we spent £9 on sandwiches etc. It's a lovely place and plenty for the boys to do, so it filled in most of the day. MIL and dog came too, but at one point I think she was wishing she hadn't as she and DH had a bit of a bust up! DH couldn't remember being there before which he has been several times (think the last time was April), and MIL was obviously disappointed with that. DH was trying to say something along the lines of how sometimes his memory loss was good because it's like seeing everything for the first time, but MIL wasn't listening properly and she was trying to say that there was nothing good about his memory loss and how sad she was for him, but DH wasn't listening properly either and got wound up because he thought she was calling him useless!!! It wasn't much fun :( but they are ok now.

I then went to fat class which was free because I won the raffle a few weeks ago but wasn't there to claim it last week. The consultant told me off for going back so soon but I wanted to have a starting point. I've lost a pound and a half which is good because it's a loss, but I thought it would have been more. Mind you I suppose I've eaten all the wrong things this week as it's just been takeaways/sandwiches/toast etc that meant DH didn't have to cook.

Tomorrow is 4 years since FIL died and a whole year since we announced our last pregnancy. One year on and still no baby :(. It will be a year since DH's first seizure on 1st Sept too, what a blinkin year!!

Sometimes when I'm feeling really emotionally wobbly (I feel a bit like a bucket full of water that is being rocked and is threatening to spill over) It's almost a relief when someone says something insensitive so I can get a bit of it out. Sounds like you needed to have a bit of a gush.

I wouldn't be rushing back to fat club if I were you, but if it gives you something to focus on then I would say a pound and a half lost is very well done. :)

  • Cheers Fudgie. Re fat club, I just have an overwhelming dislike for my physical self at the moment. I know it stems from being annoyed at my body for losing 4 babies, but it's manifesting itself in a dislike of my looks. Hence the pampering the other day and the desperation to get my hair done and lose weight. I have found comfort in food in the last few days but now I need to be in control again and focus on feeling better long term Xx
