Mum unexpectedly offered to have the boys overnight last night and came over to collect them at about 6.30pm to give DH a break :T. She is off work today but is going away for the weekend at lunchtime so we will have them back by then.
I've been doing a bit of thinking the last couple of days (can you smell burning?!) and I've made a promise to put myself first on occasions. I need to lose weight and have a bit of a makeover, not only to make myself feel better but to be fitter too. Being ill this last week has been awful, and whilst not related to my weight or general health this time, it's more likely to happen again if I'm not healthy in the future. Once I get myself pulled round I'm going for it! Starting with getting my hair cut too, which I keep putting off so other people can have other things.
Paid my sister a bit more off what I owe her today, which I haven't done all month as things were so tight. Feels good to get that moving again. It's another thing that makes me feel happier and more in control.

I am so glad you have had some time out for thinking, and are going to put yourself first sometimes. It is always helpful for your happiness which in turn helps the family happiness. Sounds bit naff but you hopefully know what I mean!
When do you next have to go to work? (hopefully not tomorrow?)
Just please rest loads ok? especially until lunchtime!

Thanks Buffy. Not naff, true story!
Feeling a bit better now but had a wobbler in the shower and then spent a while crying about how weak and pathetic I feel. I've pulled myself round enough to actually get some clothes on. Ok, it's just trackie bottoms and a hoodie but it's not pyjamas. Half managed to dry my hair too which is an improvement on the other day Xx

Absolutely, I just can't think of a way to type it that isn't all movie of the week on channel five.
Trackie bottoms and hoodie definitely count as clothesHeck I only half dry my hair on my best days! but I am pathologically lazy!
and don't beat yourself up over how you feel, you feel what you feel. You have been through bloody loads and having a cry and feeling down are all to be expected.
BIG HUGE hugs
Love Buffy xxNevertheless she persisted.0 -
I'm not going to dry my hair at all today and I'm still in my gym gear

Hello lucky
you're doing better than me I am still in p.js today
! In fact after catching up on here I was going to head up have a quick shower and put on some trackies lol. I hope you start to feel better soon and I think it's a great idea to start putting yourself first for a change. I did the same as you, no new clothes, no hair cuts, spent all the money on kids/debts etc but I changed tact eventually when my self-esteem hit an all time low. Hair cuts can be pretty mse if you want them to be anyway. I pay £10 for a lady to come to me and she's fab. I also treated myself to some new clothes, monsoon, next & river island.....cost me a tenner
they were 'new' to me but from the charity shop lol but I feel good in them so who cares! I also need to lose weight, can't seem to budge from 10st 10lb
!!! Driving me mad, one step at a time though lol.
Hope you have a good dayxx

Sorry you are still feeling so rough. Yeah to lovely neighbours and helpful mums. As for your OH, I think you have probably given him a scare. You are usually so in control etc, that you being ill and NEEDING to be in bed, has probably been a shock.
Poor ds2 about his arm. Is he just scared it is still broken
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Thank you so much for making me feel better everyone :A.
Buffy thank you for the kind words and hugs. Right back at ya.
Fortune at least you have been to the gym! Well done you!
DFW you weigh my goal weight lol. You are obviously just under tall not overweight!!
Chev I think it has done DH some good to be relied upon, however it's a fine line to too much pressure. Thankfully everything has been ok thus far. Probably famous last words ...
DS2 has been using his arm ok now. Think it must've just felt weird with the plaster off.

The only reason I'm actually dressed today is coz I'm at work! Otherwise I'd still be in the comfies! With greasy hair tied back too!!
That was sweet of your SW classVery thoughtful!
Glad you're thinking more about 'ME' now! You deserve to spend a bit of time and/or money on yourself. You always put everyone else first, usually resulting in putting anything you need/want on the backburner. No more!
Glad DS2 is ok!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0
