  • Thanks Satchmo. DH seems to have returned a bit more 'normal' and we've just had a sensible chat about the situation. He said he was pleased to not have had a seizure today because he has felt weird a few times. I pointed out that he doesn't deal with stress very well and it usually leads to bad times. I reminded him (well more like told him the story as he has no recollection of it) about the day after my operation last time when he asked me why I was walking funny, as he had no memory of the previous day. He then became the patient even though I was quite seriously ill as he was confused and panicked all day. We agreed he doesn't need to be strong for me by way of trying to hide his feelings, but he does need to try to be strong in other ways where possible.

If I'm kept in hospital, DH's friend will pick him up and take him to his Mum's where he will sleep over with the boys. If I'm released but not well I will ask MIL to stay over at our house so DH doesn't have to be relied upon if I am ill through the night.

  • Sorry lilt, Elphaba and Piq, I took so long typing I cross posted!

Elphaba that is so kind of you to offer :A.

Lilt, DS1 has been selected as one of 10 finalists in a Little Heroes competition for the time he called 999 when his Dad had a seizure and then looked after his little brother until the ambulance and I arrived. He has already won a softplay pass and £50 voucher for a family meal, but if he is one of the 3 finalists with the most votes he will then go through to the next round of judging and the overall winner gets a £1k holiday.

    It's a facebook vote:

    He is currently 3rd Xx

  • Thank you Mint Xx

Feeling more positive this morning even though I had a bad night. DH kept making weird noises and turned over in bed like 100 times so I had one eye on him all night incase of seizure (didn't happen) and then DS2 woke a couple of times through the night. He got up at a fairly reasonable time of 7am although it felt like about 4am due to lack of sleep! DH and DS1 are still in bed now.

Feel a bit embarrassed about my wobbler and pity party yesterday :o. Sorry everyone! Xx

  • Just realised I haven't done my debt calculations for this month.

    Total debt this month £9284
Reduction on last month £175
Total debt paid off since LBM £14,445.31 :j
    Total percentage paid 60.87% :D

Biggest problem, LTSB charging £100 per month interest. Must look again at changing this if at all possible.

A reduction is still a reduction and not adding to it :) can you ask ltsb for a break from interest perhaps explain the situation? I've not personally dealt with them on my dmp but a few years back I helped my mum get a 12 month interest break by booking in to see the manager of her branch with her and explaining everything - they were much nicer than I thought they'd be too xx
