LTSB were really good in the first year after DH's accident, they stopped all interest and even knocked £50 off the balance and sent me flowers. After that they didn't want to know which is fair enough. My problem now is getting another card at 0% while DH isn't working.

Hey Lucky. Hope you're not too tired today. You should definitely not be saying sorry for your 'pity party'. You passed on the worst news and dealt with it like a trooper with grace and dignity. I wish I was half the woman you are, quite honestly. Party away & know that I am here to listen if you ever need it, though you have plenty of offers.

I've voted for your little man & shared with my friends so hopefully a couple vote too. He's a cutie! :)

Have you seen the Life Lessons from 90-year-old Regina Brett that's going round on Facebook? These two seem particularly pertinent for you just now, although 37 is how other people would react to what you have to deal with:
    29. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
    37. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Hello there:wave:
Found your thread this morning - I have some similar 'challenges' to you and feel like I'm trundling along a parallel path (waves across the road). So sorry to hear about your twins- huge hugs xx
  • Thanks again everyone, what would I do without you?

Knit witch will try Nasty West, thanks for the tip!

Lilt, don't be so silly, I'm nothing special and you are certainly not less of a woman than me . Thank you for the vote for Con Xx

Satchmo, that's one of my lovely Grandma's sayings! Except she says 'throw our problems in the air' not 'put them in a pile'. I think it's a great saying and definitely something to stand by.

Octobergirl, hello and welcome - waves back across the road!! Poor you if you face the same challenges! Will have a spoach about and see if you have a diary too.

Today has been up and down. Mum finally realised she could do more to help and offered to have the boys overnight tonight so I could have a decent sleep and just organise myself to hospital in the morning. She then suggested dropping the boys to MIL at about 11am tomorrow on her way off on the day trip. It then transpired MIL was hoping to have the boys in the morning instead of the afternoon, as she had lunch plans with her gentleman friend. Cue massive panic (and a strop :o) from me about what to do with the boys, before MIL said she would cancel her plans and have the boys anyway. Phew!

We invited Mum and MIL to join us for lunch using the £50 vouchers that Connor won for being in the Little Heroes top 10. That was nice, however my pains started while I was out and I had to make a mad dash to the bathroom. I lost a fair bit of 'stuff' but there will be more to come at hospital tomorrow I'm sure. We went back to MIL's for coffee and her friend dropped in with some flowers for me which was lovely.

This evening DH and I dropped the boys off for their sleepover at Mum's and then stopped at MR T's on the way home to get a few magazines and snacks etc for hospital. Since then we've just been watching tv. I'm feeling fine now but I've been :(:( most of the day. I've just had a goodnight facetime call from the boys though and I'm feeling more blessed and positive now.

And so on to tomorrow ......
