Nothing there. If you look in the "Assignments no longer available" section it states two were accepted yesterday but nothing for today.
Happened a few time of late.I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

Same for me and then 3 slappers in the last 2 days and a holiday shop.0 -
I was in the electronic store being discussed the other day picking up some things to install my car stereo, not on a MS, and picked up a precision craft knife for the reimbursement amount...
but you should all boycot the visits for that fee !0 -
I am enormously tempted to dump this entire thread and start over!0

Only if you are getting paid for the job, if it is a reimbursement only job the payment is a free meal so not allowable.
I don't really view it like that. Fee & re-imbursement are near enough the same thing - payment to you for the mystery shop. Both would go on as income.Second paragraph of "The General Rule" explicitly says you can't do it, either food/accommodation is for personal use or it is for business use there is no split/middle ground.

Thanks - that's helpful. So I can't split the expense.
There are then three options.
1. State all as an expense (would make an overal loss).
2. Ignore all expenditure (would make a profit resulting in tax).
3. Any fees that are "reasonable" (eg where one meal has been purchased) are allowable expenses. Any assignments where I visted in with another and therefore the spend exceeds the fee are personal expenses. I then end up with a modest overal profit.
These all take into fuel expenses based on 45p a mile (as per april 2012). Not sure if this presents a problem in itself. Eg I have one assignment I travelled 55 miles so £24.75 which again exceeds the fee+reimbursement.0 -

Weeg, what y'talking about man? This has been the most entertaining thread yet. We can't talk about tax and psychic banks all the time y'know.
What's a new thread going to do? I'm not going anywhere. Just get your boss to lighten up and remind The Gang to stick me on their ignore lists (again).0 -

Would only work if the prat that has spoilt this thread can be excluded. The Troll will be back on any future thread. Put your efforts into getting rid of the idiot.
Lets try and keep this thread useful, friendly, and fit for purpose.0 -
I might not have posted on here before after spending a long time looking and laughing from afar, but how can anyone not be enjoying 'The Prat'?! So much comedy to appreciate and enjoy. Amazing how much you can catch with one cast.Up the Magpies!0
