"Payment for visit is £xx, plus a reimbursement of £1.00"
I doubt there's anything for £6, in xxxx
Retail Active...You suck.
Are you completely stupid or what
All mystery shoppers agree to keeping client confidentiality
If the word is too long for you it means you don't publically discuss either client names or fees .
This is moneysaving expert NOT Lets try and make trouble for people trying to make a little money by mystery shopping.

Pssst .............you quoted the fees and client name in your post!!!!We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Maybe you're working for the wrong companies.......Do the ones who pay higher fees not want you....Can't imagine why <cough>
Actually I have a theory that all your nonsense is to damage other shoppers reps with the companies so you can have all the low fee jobs for yourself -I can't see any other reason for your nonsense (unless as previously mentioned you are indeed completely stupid-which is appearing a definite possibility)
Perhaps it needs spelling out to you-No-one is forcing you to take a specific job-if you don't like the location or the fee-move on -spend the time doing the better paying jobs instead-Hardly rocket science is it !!I would suggest emailing xxxx and telling them you're mystery shopping them at the weekend, and wanted to know if they sold anything for £1. You could also let them know that for £xxx, you wont be taking the assignment and report too seriously, and will probably just make the report up because £xxx is worth about 20 minutes of a pro shoppers time.
But it's probably best to just leave them to it NIM. Gives us something to have a laugh about from time to time.
Just continue to name and shame them and see who gets their account deactivated first. ( I'll be narked if it's not me).
Plus, any other MS company lurking on here will see what we think of such a miserly fee and reimbursement, and just what kind of reports they'll get back.
Retail Active, you're a joke.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

problem is that people are quoting the post so even if it's edited the details are there.

Quite a few assignments I do make a profit. However if there are any local restaurants I will take them even if the fee is low. So you end up with £15 fee, £20 spend etc.
I think I will apportion part of the spend as personal & part as business. Anyone else do this?
Yep absolutely Peas and Carrots should be a business expense if you don't like vegetables and Desserts should be personal as everyone likes them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Sorry doesn't work like that ...........
So a meal is either all business, or all personal and , if you are going to claim a reimbursed meal as a business expense then you have to argue that any personal benefit was purely incidental.
Without any other factors the counter argument would be that you're using the reimbursement to get a cheap meal and therefore the benefit is 100% personal.0 -
I have a radical thought, should we perhaps make each and every one of RA's clients aware of the apalling treatment, well below minimum wage fees and the likelyhood that data is not being properly gathered as people are unlikely to spend the requisite amount of time in the store and doing the report for a £3 fee?
Most companies won't know what the shoppers are paid N.I.M.-they will agree a fee with the MS company for the project .......and so long as it's done the vast majority have no interest how....It's like Nike and the 3rd world child labour t-shirts .
If all the mystery shoppers simply didn't pick up any jobs on a low paying wave -then the message would effectively get through-but that simply won't happen-there's always someone desperate for a low fee who will do it.
I've basically just got picky now and won't deal with companies whose fees are silly or who are ridiculously time consuming . Either a job or batch of jobs is worth my while...or it isn't.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Havent Nike been ahnilliated (sp?) in the courts over that? And I wonder how those companies would do in the court of public opinion...Get Mary Portas on it :rotfl::rotfl:This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
See that's the thing -Nike *claimed* not to know about the subcontracting until the stuff hit the fan and everyone got up in arms about child slave labour....somehow adult slave labour in Little Chudbury or wherever doesn't have the same emotive ring. People would just say "Well they are adults -they can decide if it's worth it and say yes or no" Unlike 3rd world kids they won't starve if they don't accept the work and there are other options".
Mary's too busy with her knickers -and in all honesty I'd rather see her work at getting real PAYE jobs for the rag trade than freelance shopping assignments that will always go to the lowest bidder.
And congratulations on your first cuddle !!! I was thinking surely NIM & D's baby wasn't due yet so went to the other thread. Thinking of you and your little family.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
