Think of a work reason for it then call the technical helpdesk. Most companies have some software to convert to PDF.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
  • I would have absolutely no reason to use that though - I work on live databases and customer service and we have a standard helpdesk system.

Oh well, I'll have a play and see if I can get soemthing to work :)

i assme the shop tries to identify you so that they can get you banned (if you give them a bad report)

Now I'd have thought they were better off identifying you and making sure you get an ace experience when next come in. One of my older ones did that. Floor show every time, every child got a balloon and the toilets immediately cleaned. Asking for a receipt of course totally gives you away anyway.

I love it when they bring out the balloons! :j It's even better when they ask you if you need a receipt and then proceed to tell the person stood next to them serving other customers that "I'm just getting this lady a receipt". It's almost impossible not to keep a straight face!

So I emailed both GFK (I initially called but I was told to email cybershop) and RE/MF (would call but the new woman managing this project is a bit clueless, have spoken to her a few times and I might as well have talked to the wall) for some mileage to complete some visits they have had knocking about for ages. Neither have replied. Do I call them now or just leave it? I have some free time tomorrow so I was thinking I might as well do them if I can get an increase. Does anyone know how either of these work with regards to travel allowances?

    Mimi,
When jobs have been hanging around (or are more recent, but are in "hard-to-allocate areas"), I generally get a reasonable response from both of those agencies. With GfK, I usually try to strike a deal on multiple jobs: that way there seems to be more chance of getting full mileage and parking paid. With RE/MF, I usually just try to get them to add a premium to a single job to "cover part of my travel."

I don't often try with either via email, though. I find it easier to justify my needs over the phone.

    Good luck.
