I'm doing my very first Audio shop and have tested it in my local bank but although my voice turned out fine the member of staff's voice is very quiet and half drowned out by the noise in the bank. I'm now worried about the quality of the actual recording and whether I'll get paid if it doesn't turn out well. Has anyone any tips on getting the best recording? The recorder was provided by the MS company.

I put mine in a coat/jacket pocket, which I drape over the chair next to me- they always have two if you are in an interview room. or failing that, a thin bag, with a front pocket you can hang over the seat works fine.

Hi,

I'm new to mystery shopping. I had my first job last Saturday and got the full 12 marks from Marketforce. I also did one last night for Gap which was quite good and I have another one on Thursday for the same thing but a different branch.

Last week I had in my assignments a burger place to do this Saturday for Gap. Last night when I checked the job listings, there was a 4.25x fee for the same burger place but for today. I applied to do it and it was immediately declined. I checked my assignments and the job for this Saturday is missing as if it was never there. The job that was for today has now been moved to next Monday.

Does anyone know why my saturday one went missing and why I was declined for the one today. Also would they be likely to decline me again now it has moved to next Monday?

Can I also ask, I would like to sign up for another company. Can anyone recommend me a good one?

Gapbuster have suspended me from assignments for a fast food chain 6 months ago because they updated the "Do you know any staff who work for?" questions and I mistakenly said I did.

They say I will be allowed them again and my account is in a queue, but it's been in this queue for six months, I don't think anything will ever happen. Does anyone have an email address for someone within Gapbuster who might help me?

that is a very confusing situation, but when you 1st sign up to Gap, you can only do 2 shops per month for a few months I think. And you cannot the same burger shop twice in a row. There has been reports from shoppers that they have cancelled/rescheduled assignments without telling the shopper but I think this is very rare

Have MF nicked AA's shoe client? While AA's pay was poor they did refund the cost of purchase and postage while MF seem to be trying to get away with reimbursement only and only a portion of what you'd spend too.

OK fess up - who can get the entire questionnaire from MF to print out. No matter what I do with the settings for my printer the questions are always cut off at the RHS. I am tearing out what is left of my hair. Taa muchly.

I actually joined up in February but have only just got round to doing any jobs so I don't have any restrictions. The assignment said that I could do the same burger place on different days.

You can't do shop the same place twice in a row. Someone else will need to visit before you can again.
