Exactly!!
The MF one I did the other evening was no fee and the required purchases alone a good £5 above the 'reimbursment'. I'm not complaining specifically as we are familiar with brief, menu and costs, and its closeby and a favourite restaurant of my partner so we had it as a subsidised meal and bought extras but really the advert implies it is a lot more lucrative than it is.
My other gripe is companies which do not want you to use a voucher. When just presented at the end to pay I don't understand the problem with those you may as well, as others have highlighted, enjoy your meal, use the voucher and avoid the hassle of the report.
The bed ones really are a joke now too.0 -
Can I ask do most of you do this as your main job? I did a Gyp petrol audit on Tuesday and it went fine. I submitted my report about an hour later together with photos.
Logging in just now I see that it has been Rejected/Cancelled and I have no idea why. Nobody from the MS co has been in touch with any explanation. There were 2 stations near to each other with just a pub in between them and I was careful to do the correct one - just checked the receipt and it's definitely ok.
Has this happened to anybody else and what sort of reasons were given?
Thanks in advance!0 -
Sometimes gap have made a mistake and the audits weren't needed. I believe they say they will honour the payments though, send them an email.0

I personally don't - I'd hate to rely solely on it as some weeks/months are better/worse than others - but I know others on here do. But they're longer established with companies than I am (and I've been around nearly two years) and usually do video shopping too.0 -

I know some people who post on here that do it full time, but how that works I have no idea. I do ms in my spare time and some weeks are fully booked and other weeks I get nothing at all. Plus with fees and purchases being chopped, I wouldn't want to rely on it as my sole income.
Glad it's working out for you though0 -

No, I just do it in my lunchbreak mostly, and the occasional one in the evening. I know some here have mentioned they do it full time, but I can't imagine being able to make a decent salary from it. I'd be surprised if you could make much more than you would in a minimum wage job (£12k/year I think).
But maybe others have access to more jobs that I see come up, or are better at negotiating their fees!0 -

Pete, I think the secret is until you go full time certain doors are not open to us part timers. There is a lot 'hidden' away which is regular work and better fee's.I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
Hey guys, just filed a complaint with the Press complaints comission about this one (only saw it today). Might be an idea for the rest of you to do so and make them publish a retraction. See how MF react then?
