Same here.. Waiting for a phonecall.

They phoned me about them a couple of hours ago. I agreed to do the one closest to me for significantly more than the fee I was first offered, then they emailed me about a whole list of them including the one I'd already agreed to (and the fee on the email was much less too). So, yeah; bizarre but if you've not already had a call they might all be gone.

    Hi everyone

Im registered with most of the companies I can see being mentioned (apart from gap who let me register and begin the training and then deleted my account within hours!!) But I never seem to find regular assignments. I live in Blackpool and just wondered if anyone lives close by within Lancashire area that can advise me where Im going wrong or give me any tips? Or maybe its just this area thats very low on work?

Wanting to boost my income at the mo as have a few debts due that Id like to get sorted before end of the year any advice welcome :)

    Thanks

to be honest, if anyone lives close by they are probably getting all the work first....
you would be competition business wise to them so while people may be able to help give general advice such as sign up for alerts, check regularly, if there are reg assignments they may be offered to established people first

    re gap

i had the email too but it just listed standard jobs and rates no special assignments (i think i saw one a few weeks ago)
now all the standard jobs in the area have gone too and there are no jobs showing anywhere in the premium section
im hoping they will come back with some nice premiums

Only way to "guarantee" good premiums is to widen the net you can visit and look for areas with population densities (rural areas, motorway/duel carriageway areas). you get a good chance for these but you can not guarantee it.

Well never seen special jobs in my area. convinced someone receives the email about 2 hours before I do
............... Have you ever wondered what

Had to giggle yesterday. Had a burger job with a big bonus so was quite happy to go out to it. The service in the restaurant was barely adequate, lots of negatives as in timing, customer focus etc but then I said the magic words "Can I have a receipt please". The member of staff serving me went to someone who looked more senior in in a very audible whisper said "That man has asked for a receipt".

Miraculously out of thin air there were people cleaning clean tables, sweeping non existant litter from the floor, chatting to kids and I was asked three times if everything wan OK. And you dont believe in magic words?? Oh and the other customers appeared to disappear as far as the staff were concerned too.

You know, sometimes I ask for a receipt just for the show, I don't currently work for GAP either...
