I've been doing Gap pizza dine-in jobs for years and suddenly they seem to have all stopped and its delivery only. Can anyone tell me if the dine-in assignments are no more? It also seems that the pizza collection jobs have gone too or maybe I'm just unlucky in my area?

The collection scenario is still up and running I've done 2 in the last 3 months among delivery scenarios
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Does anyone work with CHG much with regular assignments?

I did my first job for them recently. Do you do work for them? I haven't seen them discussed on this forum before other than in the intro post.
  • Was looking at the alerts page and saw a post that sort of ranted about not being thanked for posting alerts.

I understand that you are taking time to help others but I find something a bit unsettling about 'expecting' to be thanked or getting annoyed when people don't thank you.

Often I don't sign in when viewing the alerts page (because for some reason firefox loads MSE website slowly) so I take a glance and leave the page. When I have time to log in to read things I will go back and thank if something has been helpful. Sometimes I wont have the time.

My point is, I think that its rather crude to help people with the sole intent of getting rewarded in black and white. I'm sure a heck of a lot more than the 15 or so people that have thanked you have benefited from your post. Do you really need to see the exact number to justify you posting?

I am not sure that is what MIMI meant with his post. By thanking it you are showing that the information was useful, if its not thanked then how does he know its worth the effort of writing the post? Its not an ego trip, its logical to want to know that the information is of use to some people not to mention its good manners to say thank you when someone helps you.

Carry on the good work MIMI there are a lot on here, myself included, that appreciate the effort.

You are taking a chance flamming Mimi, I am personally in love with Mimi although I have never met him. Alas I never get a dinner invite!

Mimi is the most consistent poster of Alerts and I for one am grateful, and do forget to thank him enough.

I agree. This is something that has annoyed me in the past.

I hit the thanks button on 99% of the posts, because i'm greatful that somebody took the time to post an alert which could be useful to other people instead of spotting the jobs and not bothering saying anything. This is regardless of if it pesonally helped me. I appreciate the effort more than the results it gave me.

Not only that but I think we all know that there are a lot of people out there using the alerts thread but never posting themselves.

The thread has been viewed 225,099 times, with 1208 posts yet the most i've seen one person thanked is about 15?

Me thinks there are many using the thread but not bothering to contribute, which personally gets up my nose a bit.

And, a quick glance through the thread will show you what alerts are more popular, therfor what jobs are, which i find helpful at times
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

I would have thought its acceptable to be annoyed at not being thanked for doing something which helps people. Its the lack of manners suggested in your post that is one of the biggest provblems in the UK in the 21st centuary. *steps down from soap-box*

BTW MSL i can't help but notice that despite finding my post useful you neglected to thank it. This has left me feeling a little undervalued =(
