Goodness what a lot of rain. Took my big umbrella to work and left it in the porch. Hope it's still there tomoz. Main campus in the afternoon which means 10k steps :T had long chat with colleague about workload and am practising saying no. Unfortunately colleague is even lower grade than me but it's good to have some understanding and support. Went out for lunch with OH (sed yes to that lol) just about to have supper

    Evening everyone

Been MIA again, was away over the weekend, then striaght back to work mon & tues. DS2 had a great time away with his sister, but came back with attitude so I am aiming to straighten that out sharpish. He was not happy at going back to school and I am seen as the bad one that always forces to do things he doesn't want to do.

os today unloaded dw, dh cooked dinner. kitchen still needs a bit of a tidy but will prob leave till the morning.

Craft club in the morning then dentist for 2nd lot of treatment, know that I have to have 3 injections 1st so not looking forward to it.

Bitsy - sorry to hear about the loss of your grandad.
NPm - nice to see you posting.
Hilstep - what a lovely surprise, enjoy yourself.
Heavenleigh - well done on the ys, enjoy your steak.

Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take Care

    hello all,
    checking in late again.
had a good day. done two jobs today so quite tired. now watching holby city before going to bed. made some lovely cheese bread tonight to go with a cheese and bacon pasta. was really pleased with it. tomorrow big daughter coming for tea and were having chili and rice. got bread on timer for tomorrow. started to make my own bread most days now.
i like getting every one back to school and work where they all should be!! i love the holidays but getting back to normal helps life run more smoothly. routine kicks in again and things get tidy!!
  • Well done on all those bargains Heavenleigh. OH managed to get 4 Warburton loaves for 20p each, mozzarella 10p and milk 5p a pint, but thats it and they'll be frozen.

Today has been an expensive one as our car insurance was due and the cheapest I could get including cash back was £398, but that included legal, courtesy car, RAC the better one and protected no claims. They wanted another £95 to pay monthly, so put on 0% credit card and will split the payments in 4. Our house insurance is due next month and currently with the AA at £105 per year including accidental, so will call and haggle the price when it comes through:D as no doubt it would have increased.

Tonights meal was slightly different than planned, having the chicken still but had with new pots, cabbage and carrots.

Anyway, Im off to sleep as knackered and nurses are here at 7 tomorrow.

    Night night!

hilstep that is a fab birthday surprise
heavenleigh wow well done, hope you left lots for others too

My new office is very... grey? I'm going from an office of bubbly women dealing with Dior, YSL etc to dolling out OAP bus passes in a deathly quiet office full of men wearing faded black trousers and murky shirts (either they started out white and got washed with darks or are very faded pastels!). It will actually make a nice change from the rest of London, I'm excited :D
