Morning everyone.
Walked Luna in torrential rain, I can now see blue sky and sunshine :rotfl:
Pottering day planned, have more friends coming round for coffee and play with their children
Other than that just pottering, housework and fun stuff like that :rotfl:
Haven't decided what's for tea yet
Hugs and spoons all round xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Hello everybody and hugs to all who need or would like one. OH has managed to give me his cold. I would have prefered chocolates as a gift...... We even went to bed last night at 8.30 with a flask of hot water so we could make cold reliefs/raspberry tea later on. All I could think last night when I was sneezing/coughin/sucking Strepsils was how glad I was I'd done all the laundry/mown the front lawn/taken the clematis cuttings and cut the front hedge yesterday - and it's raining anyway. So this morning the plan is to do as much work as I can and then go back to bed.....I have no idea what we're having for dinner, probably beans on toast....But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green

Morning :hello:
It was raining and cold when I woke up (5.15am), it's now sunny and the clouds are gone.
We've put the tomato plants in the shed, hopefully they'll be OK in there. We planted two in the greenhouse to see how they do, if they're still OK next week I'll plant the rest out. The veg patch has been cleared by the chickens
so that's been raked over and is ready for seeds.
My interest in my little biz is starting to return. I think my brain switched itself off for the last few months, I lost interest in everything but didn't realise at the time. It's all coming back now
I have Things To Do and I've made a start.
We're with Virgin, the TV was playing up, we could still watch and see what was going on but it looked like every program was set somewhere with weird weather, there was red snow, lol. So the man came yesterday, couldn't fix it so replaced the 2 boxes and all the cables. He decided to throw in a new modem too. It wasn't til he left that I realised all my unwatched recorded programs were on the old box, which was sat in the back of his van  And I was looking forward to watching Grimm while I had my lunch yesterday. Pah.
I'm feeling a lot more confident about my hip so I'm going to start using my rebounder again. I bet I last about a minute and a half before I'm breathless

pp hope the nurse hurries up and you feel better
dundeedoll don't know if it's any help to you but there's something called "cassiae/cassis semen/seed" that when boiled in the micro for a few minutes tastes just like coffee with no caffiene
It's chucking it down here and I'm visitng my new job so I need to fix my umbrella or turn up looking like a drowned rat. I'd never have thought to bother fixing it before this site but all it needs is a stitch to hold the fabric on the prong.
My Nan went into hospital at the end of last week as she has been getting run down and one little illness leads to another iykwim. My uncle is being very dramatic and scaring people by constantly posting things on facebook like "doctors say she is making slow but steady progress, will update later" and forgetting to mention that she is actually okay and is just getting fluid for being dehydrated!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Dundee - another little plus for giving up coffee is far fewer trips to the toilet:o:D which is especially good at night as our bathroom is downstairs!Do what you love :happyhear0

Morning all,
Pouring with rain here too, but we need it, with 1/2 of us now on a hosepipe ban,.
Got all my jobs done yesterday :T, so today I just need to walk the dog, prepare the dinner, and hoover through, this wont take long, I am then going to sit down and watch a film with dd, like all of us I seem to spend my time running from one thing to the next, so this afternoon I will do nothing
Tappers, I used to be a terrible sleeper, I cut out all caffinated coffee, only have decaf now, and dont have tea after about 5 in the evening, I (touch wood) sleep so much better now
Dinner tonight will be roast pork, roasties, and carrots, cauli and cabbage, looking forward to it.
Jackie O, regarding your huge ham, could you not cook it, cut it in half, and give half to your dd with the 4 boys ?? would do them a few meals, your half could be sliced/ chunked and frozen in your size portions xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning, just lost a long post  so briefly hope you are all ok,and the nurse comes quick PP.
Had a busy weekend, and minded DGD while her Mummy and Nanna went to a funeral yesterday-lovely to have her to myself:rotfl:
I want to finish her dress off today, managed to try it on her yesterday so at least I know it fits. Its almost done-just the hem and buttonholes now.
I won a Bigshot diecutting/embossing machine off fleabay last week, delivered Sat.I've been hankering for one for ages and got it for a reasonable price,so as I need to make a 1st anniv.card I think I'll have a play with that too this afternoon
Housework fairly up to date due to having overnight guests over the weekend.Tea is chicken salad for me,steak/onion baguettes for the men.
Tru- that happened to us when our box got changed a few months ago,I had loads of the Danish version of the Killing saved up .We're fans of Grimm here too.Glad you've got your spark back too.
Right best go & do something instead of being on here all day

Hiya.
It rained here this morning too. Really pleased to see it as I was threatening myself with a spot of gardening. No chance now, thank goodness.
So, went through the bottom of the house like a dose of salts first thing, done 2 loads in the WM, answered the 60+ emails that had piled up over the weekend and here I am.
This afternoon will be spent on paperwork, more solicitors stuff, and hopefully a little while spent in my bedroom clearing a path from door to bed. After that a fruit cake to make for my DS who is moving over here on Thursday and will have removal people etc. to ply with mugs of tea and cake and biscuits. I can't wait to have them only 15 minutes drive away.
For lunch we have yesterday's LO bubble and squeak in Yorkshire pudding. Saw the idea on Saturday kitchen and tried it. LO veg from Sunday's lunch, fried up and tipped into a yorkshire pudding. Cheap, easy, quick and absolutely delicious, I added a bit of LO beef, also from Sunday and was well pleased.
PP: Hope that you are feeling a bit easier now and that the nurses have been.
Love to all.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Just send the dogs - I've got withdrawal symptoms, and I don't get my next guest til Sunday.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:bargainbird wrote: »Have walked dogs got soaked but dried out by the time i got to the car

Mr LW has been told he's got to do a training course for work; it's not til July, so I've warned the dog-sitting agent that I won't be able to take any dogs needing injections or baths that week (both of these activities Mr LW has to help with). He'll commute (course is in Reading) as I can't cope completely on my own for a week, but he'll have to leave early and won't be home til late. We've yet to work out if he can go by train (in which case I'll bring the car home from the station and fetch him when he gets off the train at night) or if it'll be better for him to drive.
I'm afraid there's no way I'll give up my caffeine - I wouldn't make it through the day!:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
