Hello everyone and hugs to all in need and especially Cariad and her mum.

Well I was MIA over the weekend - mainly due to "stuff" - Got a text from other neighbours Friday evening saying they were doing the fence on Sunday and to pop 'round to get the clematis I wanted. Turn up on Sunday and half of it is already up. OH made a point of saying their text said SUNDAY..... "Oh well we thought we'd made a start" - Thank goodness I'd taken the honeysuckle off the old fence the other week or else Lord knows what would have happened to it. As it is we've brought it up here. Had to prune it a lot :( so it'll take a few years to get back to the same standard but we also got a few of extra "rooters" so one is in water whilst I decide where it's going and we've got two going over various fences in our garden PLUS we got rid of one of one of our old neighbours who was desperate for one. Anyway, as we've got brilliant blue skies here for now I've just taken 10 water and 10 compost cuttings of the old clematis crown so surely I'll get one plant from that :D OH has got a cold and TBQH I don't think he should have done into work today but he's on a course starting tomorrow so he can't take time off..... :( I have promised him a full english breakfast for his dinner tonight.

My plan for today is to darn the knitted blanket and to repair OH's jeans. I also need to contact all my other doctors and tell them the outcome of Friday. I've got some stuff on e-bay as well but is anyone else finding it has gone a bit slow again? I sold loads of stuff recently but now I'm hardly getting any watchers. Or maybe I've just got naff stuff :rotfl:(although last item I sold was Molton Brown so maybe not....). Might make a start on my crime book club book..... got 10 days to read it in rather than the month as I was in London when the last meeting was.....

I hope everyone has a nice day and makes the most of any sunshine!
hi, i had a great month just past on ebay and then the last batch i put on ebay last week was so slow few watchers and hardly any sales must be the holidays:)

  • Afternoon,

Well, fri night was rubbish, sat was worse but Sunday was much better. Cant be bothered to go into detail (will bore most folk anyway) but it has taken a long time to shake off the misery but as regards OS stuff - made wholemeal rolls y'day, washed & dried on the line 2 loads of washing :j and did our first batch of painting. The bathroom needed a little spruce up so we did 2 coats on the ceiling, and then decided to go over the blown vinyl wall on the landing. Trouble is it now looks like its only half been done as some of the paint hasnt gone inbetween the other bits very well  Oh well, at least its looking cleaner now than it did.

Todays lunch was HM rolls with tinned mackeral, tonights tea is frozen HM cottage pie with brown rice & peas LO from last night. Bit of an odd combo but I'm working till 9 so need somethibng quickly to microwave.

I hope Jarvo's foot starts to get better soon, sounds very painful, and to all others in pain/suffering, my very best wishes go out to you. Sometimes my own silly trials & tribulations are nothing compared to others.

    have a great day y'all

Wanted to send a wave and a hug to pennypincher. jarvo . iwantahouse. rage and everyone else who could use one.

DH has just had a la leftover Sunday lunch, I had lasagne and there is still a portion of chicken korma in the fridge for tonight.

Tempted to pop into town as bargainbirds picture reminded me I want to get dh a new pint mug for his tea. He is now alternating ordinary tea with green tea or redbush - his own suggestion (I nearly fell off the chair!)

Also want to look for a booklet on chloresterol as I want to reduce his if I can. He is being stuffed full of fish or veg at every opportunity now and has been convinced not to eat salted peanuts so fingers crossed.

Have you seen the Cranks cookbook? They had a chain of veggie cafes years ago and were very good. There may be some on amazon- if you like I'll have a look for you later.

    Gentle virtual hug to all.

Had a hectic weekend, we are still nursing our poorly rabbit, it has been a week on Wednesday so if he is no better by then I will take him back to the vet.
Our little lodger has gone home, miss him lots, he really is a character.
DH dragged DS to work with him this morning and DD is back at college (DS is back tomorrow :j ) Ordinarily I would have pottered and got loads done but my knees are really playing up so I am back on the strong painkillers, the only trouble is that they send me a bit doolally tap (Bit more than usual :p) So I try to only take them when I really have to.
It has stayed dry today and I have managed to get the washing dry on the line.
Dinner tonight is roast chicken ( I didn't cook yesterday because I was in too much pain and slept most of the day). We ended up with chips from the chippy :o
Jarvo Ouch that sounds nasty (((Hugs)))
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Evening all

Sunny but very cold here today!

I am absolutely livid right now  For my PGCE we have a group assignment to do. As a group we have worked really really hard on it since Nov, even meeting during half terms/easter to get work done. We have barely seen the tutor for this module since Jan, she is never in on Weds (we only have uni on Weds). I emailed her ages ago to book an appt to meet this Weds which was set up, but I needed to change the time so emailed again. I got a reply from her saying that she will now not be in uni on weds and the earliest she can meet us is May 2nd :mad: Now bear in mind we have an individual assignment based on the group assignment due in April 23rd on which we have had no guidance, and May 2nd is the date we need to deliver the presentation on the group assignment :mad:. They are so incompetent!!!! I have replied back saying that is unacceptable, and CC'd in the head of dept so hopefully something will be sorted for Weds. Roll on May 16th when it's all over I say!

    Anyway......

Good day in work, work kids worked hard on their presentation preparation (only 2 more days left with them :j). Uni work to do tonight.

OS wise - recycling went out this morning, laundry to put away.

    Have a good evening all
