Morning :hello:
cariad, how's your mum today?
Pepper is still broody, though I don't have to carry her out to eat now, she'll run out, wolf down some food then scuttle back in to 'her' eggs. Rocky has very brittle feathers and has bald patches on her elbows. Do chickens have elbows? lol. Did some research and she needs more protein. The best thing? - boiled eggs :rotfl: Feels strange, feeding her eggs. She enjoys them though.
I'm in a cleaning mood. I haven't been doing it properly lately, just flitting over the surface. The other trus don't notice (or don't care!) but I hate it so I'm getting stuck in today.Bulletproof0 -
DD and boyfriend have gone back yesterday after staying for long weekend. Loaded them up with eggs, veg, some stuff from the freezer and toiletries. BF impressed with all the stores and dd a bit embarrassed by it but they were a godsend when I was ill or if the weather was bad.
Made a new dessert for Sunday lunch, sweet home made pancakes with bottled fruit (L*dl) cream and ice cream inside and folded over. As it followed yorkies, roast potatoes, beef and dinner party chicken with carrots, courgettes , green beans and broccoli, we were all really full.
Made boiled egg and toast for DH and me and two dds have gone off to sixth form or work with a container of home made pasta salad for lunch. Our lunch will be a la leftovers and might make sweet potato and pepper soup with bratwurstinnabun unless I can get round to defrosting cheap sausages, adding seasoning and onions etc and pastry and turning it into a pie that could also be eaten cold and taken for lunch.
Feeling much better now the virus is going and just have a bit of a cough but seem to have given it to dd who sounds awful this morning"This site is addictive!"

Good morning all,
Frosty start here first thing this morning. Brighter now though.
Girls are at school, hubby is over the allotment and the dog is asleep. Can't get much better than that. I am back at work tomorrow, so back to normal, whatever that is.
Have finished the hoovering and had a general tidy round. Wm is on again, already hung some washing out.
Tea tonight is hm chicken and veg pie, chicken leftover from yesterday.
Jarvo, sounds very painful. Take care.
Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.

Morning all,
Bright and sunny here, but cold, sharp frost first thing, I have a towel load in the wm will get it on the line.
Yesterday I got all the jumble sale clothes washed and dry, and the bedding it was such a glorious drying day :T.
Busy day today, I need to hoover through / clean downstairs, walk the dog, do an online shop, see dad, post ebay parcels (did well yesterday)
then do a few hours on my paid for office job, and cook a curry for dinner.
If I can get all of this done, I can have a fairly relaxing day tomorrow, I will rope dd in to help
As I said dinner tonight is curry, I always keep back a bit of the sauce when we have a takeaway to mix in with my homemade curry, makes it even more delish.
Caraid, I know just what you mean about the food in hospital, when my dad was in, it was apalling, they also used to put the tray down, and walk off, he was unable to feed himself, so if we were not there he went hungry, anyhoo, we made sure that one of us went in everyday, we would take soups in a food flask, tiny sandwiches, cakes biscuits, a few packets of crisps, fruit, fish and chips anything really to tempt him to eat, does not really matter what they are eating as long as its something, hope your mum is ok xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Hi chums thanks for the tips re veggie recipes and camelot I have replied to your pm thank you .
I washed the feather pillow and its blowing nicely on the line and dripping quite a bit as well I shall take it to Dds this afternoon and see if I can get it even drier in her TD.I am just off to book club shortly then I have to get some shopping for DD as she has too much month left before payday so I shall get her a few bits to help out.
At my other Dds last night she had sorted out her chest freezer and found the 2.5 kilo gammon ham that was forgotten from Christmas and said would I take it home and use it. So now I have to think of the best way to use it up bearing in mind I live alone I maybe eating gammon for the next month or two
Its still frozen so I'm wondering if I should defrost it and cook it then slice up into portions and refreeze what do you think Its HUGE really Its a shame it wasn't cut in half before freezing.Any suggestions would be welcome , apart from cooking it and feeding half my street with ham sandwiches:)
Hope you all aheva good day and hope your Mum's a bit better cariad
Cheers Chums

Morning
Well where has the last 2 weeks gone? Had lots of plans and have achieved most of them, TBH will be glad to go back to work for a rest!! Nice to have some good weather and get out and about. Both kids have spent time revising and a few outings to for good measure. Spent a bit of time updating my calendar (OS one of course) year is filling up already and my "babies" will both have left school in a matter of weeks now. now starting planning money towards proms tickets etc. Luckily they both had evening wear for a recent awards dinner we went to and will wear same clothes to prom.
OS, HM pie for tea from last nights LOs, kids have HM pasta salad for lunch when they get in as finish early today, WM on, DW finished, have made fruity spice breakfast rolls while oven on last night, they will do us a few days breakfast, have frozen them and will microwave them in the morning. They were scrummy this morning.
Must put washing out before I go to work, at least I wont get wet this morning.

Hello everyone and hugs to all in need and especially Cariad and her mum.
Well I was MIA over the weekend - mainly due to "stuff" - Got a text from other neighbours Friday evening saying they were doing the fence on Sunday and to pop 'round to get the clematis I wanted. Turn up on Sunday and half of it is already up. OH made a point of saying their text said SUNDAY..... "Oh well we thought we'd made a start" - Thank goodness I'd taken the honeysuckle off the old fence the other week or else Lord knows what would have happened to it. As it is we've brought it up here. Had to prune it a lotso it'll take a few years to get back to the same standard but we also got a few of extra "rooters" so one is in water whilst I decide where it's going and we've got two going over various fences in our garden PLUS we got rid of one on one of our old neighbours who was desperate for one. Anyway, as we've got brilliant blue skies here for now I've just taken 10 water and 10 compost cuttings of the old clematis crown so surely I'll get one plant from that
OH has got a cold and TBQH I don't think he should have done into work today but he's on a course starting tomorrow so he can't take time off.....
I have promised him a full english breakfast for his dinner tonight.
My plan for today is to darn the knitted blanket and to repair OH's jeans. I also need to contact all my other doctors and tell them the outcome of Friday. I've got some stuff on e-bay as well but is anyone else finding it has gone a bit slow again? I sold loads of stuff recently but now I'm hardly getting any watchers. Or maybe I've just got naff stuff :rotfl:(although last item I sold was Molton Brown so maybe not....). Might make a start on my crime book club book..... got 10 days to read it in rather than the month as I was in London when the last meeting was.....
I hope everyone has a nice day and makes the most of any sunshine! But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0
