Vauxhall offer of life time warranty also includes 100,000 miles of cover regarding if car has any issues and this offer is for first registered owner of the car only. ....... Think.
They not stupid "VAUXHALL " majority of the owners will keep their cars for around 4/5 years no 100,000 miles on clock either.
Misleading crap by vauxhall just like their cars ...,

Not much of a deal is it .

    so how is it misleading?
people arent grabbed by VX goons and the keys grabbed from their hands.
    its a choice

It is an appealing offer to anyone such as me, owned VX for yonks with no complaints, wanting a car vith a view to keeping it for about 10 year, possibly a last car as we won't need 2 for much longer, and also as having finished work my mileage is all by choice and doesn't exceed 10k annum.

Only problem is I'd class myself an idiot if I bought a brand new car of any brand:money::money::money::money::money:

My experience of warranty's as a whole are they cover for very little in the real world, unless your really unlucky and have something major go wrong like engine or turbo.

Normal costs such as brakes, suspension, clutches, ect are not covered anyway as they are wear and tear items.

The car I had prior to the one I own now was an Astra 1.8 top of the range model, kept it for 10 years had about 60.000 miles on the clock when I traded it in.

When we bought this car brand new the manufacturers warranty was only for 1 year .We paid an extra £400 to extend it to 4 years.

The first few years the car was a nightmare, there was all sorts of problems and a bit of hassle. I had the entire rear braking system modified to the same as the later Astra's this would have cost me several hundred pounds, bigger calipers, discs weights etc, this cured this problem never had the same issue again.

Also had problems with electric windows, indicator problems and alarm system all repaired free of charge under Vauxhall's extended warranty !

Al, that really was an issue when all manfs offered a 1 year waranty, now luckily it's 3.

It's interesting to note you had the car for 10 years with little issue outside the initial waranty period. This is typical, my old vectra went at 8 yo with not a single problem other than a replacement exhaust at 18months, outside waranty but honoured by VX:T:T:T

Also my present Renault, renowned for issues, but at 6 years old and 3 years outside manfs waranty has cost Zilch, inside that period it was a barstewed.;)
