Was thinking of buying a Pre-reged Vauxhall Astra from Arnold Clark.
The Salesman tells me it will come with the Vauxhall 100,000 miles lifetime warranty.
Can't always beleive a car salesman,as they say anything to get a sale.

It does say you have to be the first owner of the vehicle and as its pre-reged technically I wouldn't be, any ideas?

Get a copy and start reading it from the back first.
You usually have a better idea and often dont finish reading, the last few sections are enough.

    what miles is it on?

Is it from a licensed vauxhall dealer?

I heard it's typical for uses car garages to sell warranty, but the warranty does not cover any of the moving parts that are likely to break. They cover you for stupid stuff like side and rear windows, internal fixtures and fittings and other stuff.

Pre-reged means they buy it in brand new from Vauxhall and register the car in their name, the car usually has about 200 miles on it.

As I said the warranty I am on about is the Vauxhall lifetime warranty that is being given on on all 1st owners of brand new Vauxhall cars.

My question was do pre-reged count as 1st owners of the cars?

ring vauxhall hq for definitive answer and also make a note of day date time and name and sole size of mandy in case she denies it when your orange glow lights up the instrument binnacle and they say you arent in the 100,000 mile club
of course as said read the fine print carefully in case you have to dance naked under nelsons column each new moon to be covered

AFAIK, Vauxhall lifetime warranty applies to first owner only. I wouldn't trust the salesman, or even the dealer - personally, I'd get in touch with Vauxhall themselves to confirm?

edit s b beat me to it (and is even funnier/more sarcastic than me)
