Evening,
Today was another NSD :j:j:j
All it takes is a bit of thought and willpower. Clearly thinking is not something I've been doing a whole lot of...I'm actually up today, took back a dress from Primark I figured I wasn't going to wear. Only £10, but every little helps, as they say.
It was lovely to get back to my kids - I teach pre-school music one day a week during term time - but they were insane today, clambering all over me - it's nice to be loved I guess ha!
Tomorrow won't be a NSD as I'm off to see some friends in their cabaret show and I haven't bought my ticket yet, so that'll wipe out the surplus from today, plus although I won't be drinking I will be on the diet coke which will cost me a couple of quid. All budgeted in though.
Getting used to the planning thing - I think! I'm starting to feel more in control, although the next two months are going to be really tough. But if I plan in advance I should still even be able to have a social life :T
&.00 start for work tomorrow, so I'm gonna hit the shower (with home-made body scrub) then head for bed with 'One Day' and get really frustrated again - WHY can't Emma and Dexter just get it together???
Night x2019 Aim: Save £10,000
Don't sacrifice what you want most for what you want now0 -
Finished work, then finished 'One Day' - started crying on the train home. Some people thought I was crazy, others saw what book I was reading and gave me that sage, knowing look
Got an afternoon of not much planned - maybe I'll start writing a novel myself! Best make a brew first though...2019 Aim: Save £10,000

So I've started the Weekly Spend challenge in a bid to budget in a more 'only-using-what's-in-my-account' sort of way, and I've failed in my first attempt. Really annoyed with myself, although I know it's at least in part due to buying some unplanned special offers at Mr T on Sunday, and I don't have to buy meat for at least a fortnight now, but still...
Working lots this week so have decided to take tomorrow morning off and have a cleaning/organising morning before choir practice. Also decided that if I sleep in it's ok because I'm shattered!
Waiting to get paid this week so the EVIL o/d will be gone for good. Hurry up, money!!!
And one of my three-year-olds told me in class yesterday that I was silly. I love kids2019 Aim: Save £10,000

Still haven't been paid by work - now two days late  only have £18 of o/d space left so if the money doesn't come first thing Monday I'm going to be charged £25 because I'll have bills coming out after the weekend. Going to be a bit hairy-scary...2019 Aim: Save £10,000

So annoying when work do stupid things like delay payruns for no apparent reason - hope it turns up over night for you!
Kids scare me I have no idea how people work with them, never mind actually have them!!It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Oh hun, what complete sods! Did you ring them and what did they say? Hope they're going to pay the charges for being so rubbish.
Not impressed with the new financial year so far. Hubby's effectively had a pay cut as he's on a 3 year pay freeze but his pension contributions went up, rubbish. Reminds me I'd better update my diary in a bit. Only me posting in it though!!"I've fallen down a hole" - said in best Monty Python voice-over.0 -
Still not been paid. Luckily I'm more organised than I thought and nothing's come out of the account. Still... no reply from head office as of yet - this has happened once before and they paid up without telling me so now I'm checking my account every hour!!
Ended up spending £1.99 on some Maccy D's last night - used one of the vouchers in the Metro, then got taken out by the sort-of BF to see the new Avengers film as an apology for his recent shoddy behaviour. After a bit of a chat about what's expected of him we're all good, and he's now officially my BF! After 5 months I suppose it had to go one way or the other so very happy right now. I've got a bit of training to do with him though :rotfl:
Day off today so getting through my to-do list - it's quite long! So far I've been sorting out my emails, and I cut my own hair!! Bit scary but it's very long so it looks exactly the same tbh ha! Got lots of cleaning to dobut Absolute 80s will pull me through!!
Alleycat I'm going straight to your diary!! Right...... now!2019 Aim: Save £10,000

I'm actually crying - how ridiculous!
So, work finally paid me and the joint account overdraft is paid off, including the interest they're going to take out in a couple of weeks. No more hassle-full phone calls from the bank and no more ex's debt hanging over my head...
