What is it with the item I am selling, have had to relist twice already, now just paranoid that the latest winner isn't going to go the same way following no correspondence nearly two days after winning.
I know I need to allow time for payment, but I've never had so many time wasters on such a high value item.
Rant over.

One of the reasons I stopped selling on eBay, when I click to bid/buy now that's wht I intend to do and complete the transaction, I pay they send item, it should be simple.
I paid up when I won the auction of a classic 70s Mercedes saloon that i didnt need, but vowed that I would never use eBay when ratted.0 -

I keep having problems with ebay buyers, being mailed to cancel bids "I changed my mind", "I can't pay - unexpected bill" , people who don't understand that I have a job and can't post everyday or people not paying for 7 days, 14 days, 21 days, having to open non payment cases in which they pay on the last day and then the item "gets lost in the post" funny enough just as I knew it would when they mailed me 3 times to confirm their address. But eBay appears to be on their side despite the fact it is the sellers they are making their money from!0

You need to put a "This Seller Requires Payment Straight Away" on your auction. I have never sold but do buy and it comes up a number of times. Usually when I place a bid or if its BIN.
If I am not paying straight away(waiting for money myself), I will message the seller and tell them. Sorry for the delay I will be paying in two days.
If someone else is bidding on the item give them the second chance bid, I have won things this way. You have to I believe give 5 days for the buyer to pay. That is if you don't put your own message on.0 -
I have just had a buyer ask can they pay by cheque for a high value item when it clearly says Paypal only on the listing. I am wondering now if they will be paying at all because I have politely refused. So annoying as they outbid someone who desperately wanted the item and wanted it posting tomorrow and said they would pay immediately.
How long is it right to wait before offering it to a second chance bidder?0 -
