re almost the last share bought ie SOU, up 12% today and still a way to go before the target 16ish. No more new shares now as £4 cash left but portfolio up 2k yesterday and a happy 5k today. Stop losses placed on the 3 my major miners and will raise them tonight if appropriate. Am sitting on hands now as thinking that ukx will go skywards before long and have put targets on all the stocks, which helps not to overtrade. Must do more knitting today and not screen watch as it (chart watching) is too hypnotic and time wasting

back again having decided to reduce cyclicals a tad, so taken profits on the 3 miners and a few other stocks. Me, I am always happy with the bit in the middle, never try to get the top or bottom. ukx looking volatile and resting heavily on the US as usual

locked portfolio profits yesterday pm and have made notes re lower buybacks. Halved holdings of SOU and BLVN, to wrap up profits and also retain exposure

bought 11 today, looking for a test of 6800 before long, bull flag, might be quiet for a couple of sessions but I am fully in and ready for off. Back into miners and very last last share as per thread was stan. I must say that I am loving being back into trading but always with an eye to caution. Portfolio value is holding well and has increased in last few days

sorry"""" last share was NOT STAN but was SMIN

Miners seems dangerous territory, as they've lost so much ground no one is sure where is fair value
FRES possibly in the 900 area but I can remember wanting to buy at 550 a long time ago, they could go back further I guess

I bought some POG and its todays highest riser for me so thats good but Im really unsure it can recover so much near term. Still oversold with too much fear

I sold Lloyds also RBS completely, taking profits on both and RBS I really should have got more at 200 but I didnt and now I have none as investment banks do better then ever apparently.
Even at month start, 280 or lower was a buy and I was negligent :p Maybe 500 is a fair target but I expect big news must come first before that

STAN was a good buy round month start for similar reasons, lots of long term trades at that price. 1540/60 is resistance, hard to trade I think

Trading is fun when the market is rising isn't it

yes dangerous, I have well spread portolio and nothing here that I could not afford to lose but graphs look good and divis are respectable. Volatile stocks though.

I am spending dribs and drabs of the remaining cash on little stocks, to add a frisson of excitement in the future. Got 2 tucked away today DGS and RUR

ukx looks soon set to have a rocket up its backside, like a coiled spring. I still have a good safety net of defensives as backup though

omg I boobed on a previous post. The share that I bought was NOT stan but was SMIN and I have given it a target of 500

so sorry, teaches me not to write a post in a hurry, while keeping stock trading details, getting the washing out, cooking lunch etc etc

re co-op, I sold at a big loss but have recovered it all plus more but only by trading and being alert. I sold nationwide pibs and prefs, skipton principality and several more all with capital gains, bar coop and I can`t have been the only one. Much better to get it over and done with rather than worry about `what if`. Just hanging onto one perp bond ie stan, giving me a yield of 12% and has gone up 22% in capital value. I have had most of my money back on that one so am not worried and won`t be selling it

Haven`t traded properly for several years but still have the knowledge so am happy. I don`t want to be doing this everyday mind as I have a life away from the screen, spinning, allotment etc suits me just now though as too hot to be handling fleece and much too hot to be out. Am sitting in cave like conditions

My last share that I bought is Versarien, (VRS). Look like a fun company although slightly concerned about the bank overdraft by its new subsidiary company, Total Carbide. Should be fun to see how it goes. Most likely downward.

    Cheers,
    Joe
