    Google the work of Dr John Gottman, one of the world's leading experts in relationship stability. He says that, after analysing thousands of couples, he knows it's all over when contempt & critisism find their way into the relationship.

    If contempt and critisim have infected your marriage I imagine you would both need to acknowledge that and want to work to fix things. If not, it's probably over, unless you both want to live a miserable existance for the forseeable??
